Junta ministerial reshuffle

The Deputy Minister for Home Affairs and Chief of the Myanmar Police force, Lieutenant General Than Hlaing, has been relieved of the posts and is going back to serving in the military, according to a 2 May report in the junta media.

According to the media General Zin Min Htet will take over the positions.

The Military Council has been reshuffling ministers and deputy ministers.

The Union Minister of Electricity and Energy, Aung Than Oo has resigned and the Ministry of Electricity and Energy has been split into the Ministry of Electric Power and the Ministry of Energy.
Thaung Han has been appointed as both the Minister of Electric Power and the Minister of Energy. The Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Conversation, Min Min Oo has been transferred to serve as a member of Union Election Commission (UEC).

The Former Deputy Minister of Religion Affairs and Culture, Tun Ohn, is becoming the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Conversation. 

He has been replaced by Dr. Moe Zaw Tun as the Deputy Minister of Religion Affairs and Culture. Other ministerial appointments include Min Thu becoming the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Conversation, Dr. Aung Zaya becoming the Deputy Minister of Electric Power and Thant Sin becoming the Deputy Minister of Energy.
