At least 10 junta soldiers die in fighting in Shan State's Moebye Town

There was fighting in southern Shan State's Moebye Town between junta armed forces and a coalition of local defence forces on 25 July.

A column of 21 military vehicles and 300 soldiers fought with the local defence forces for about three hours, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Moebye Town.

According to the Moebye People's Defence Force (PDF), one of the defence forces involved in the fighting, at least 10 junta soldiers were killed and one defence force fighter was injured,.

According to locals, one woman was also killed on the spot by artillery fire and two other civilians were injured. Homes were also damaged.

The defence forces involved in the fighting were: Moebye PDF BO-1 and BO-2, Loikaw PDF and the United Resistance Force (Loikaw).

Moebye PDF has promised not to give up fighting until the military dictatorship ends.
