An executive committee member of the Lisu National Development Party (LNDP), also known as Crossbow Party, has pledged human rights for all the national ethnic groups of Myanmar, according to an electoral speech of the party.

Daw Betty Yarn, executive committee member of the party, made the remarks in her electoral campaign speech broadcast by state TV.

She also said that the party will make the country a ‘Federal Democratic Union’, which will ensure autonomy, freedom of expression, and free thought.

She added that the party will work hard to ensure equal rights for all the races in the country whether they are from mountainous areas or plainland areas.

The party will stand in the upcoming general elections in Kachin State, Mandalay Region and Shan State.
