People are demanding in front of the South Okkalapa Township Police Station for the release of astrologer Lin Nyoe Tara, who was arrested for posting a photo on social media praying for an end of the military dictatorship by lighting a candle on a sword.

Ko Paing Thura, a student, told Mizzima that police broke into the house of Lin Nyoe Tara, a fortune-teller who posted a photo praying for the fall of the military dictatorship, at around 11 pm on 11 February.

It is unknown what kinds of charges have been filed against him.

The astrologer Lin Nyoe Tara is currently being held at the South Okkalapa Township Police Station, and residents have been demanding his release.
