A combined force of the Karenni Army and the Karenni Nationalities Defence Force ambushed a convoy of junta troops heading from Loikaw to Bawlake Township near Kyunbingone village on 3 August.

About 10 vehicles were included in the convoy.

During the attacks 11 soldiers were killed and over 20 wounded, according to the KNDF information team.

The military is conducting offensive attacks in Loikaw, Dimawhso, Prusho, Bawlake and Pasawng townships.
