Three electoral candidates of Mon Unity Party (MUP) will stand for the general elections 2020 in Myeik, which is outside Mon State, according to Naing Aung Myo, one of the candidates.

Myeik is located in Taninthayi Region, which has more than 40,000 Mon people, according to the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population.

Candidates of MUP will stand for a seat for Upper House constituency number 12, another seat for a Lower House, and another seat for regional parliament constituency number 2.

MUP is a merger of All Mon Region Democracy Party and Mon National Party.
