Myanmar embassy in Singapore announces casting of absentee votes will start from October 1

The Myanmar embassy in Singapore made an announcement on September 22 which says that Myanmar citizens living in Singapore can cast their absentee votes from October 1 to 18.

The announcement further says that voters must bring their Queue Appointment Confirmation Letter with barcode, Myanmar passport (original), residential permit card with them and they must follow all COVID-19 protocols including stipulated social distancing norms in casting their votes at Myanmar embassy daily from 9 o’clock in the morning to 5:30 p.m.

The announcement by the Myanmar embassy in Singapore says that there are over 36,000 persons who filled in Form 15 of Union Election Commission (UEC) to cast absentee votes.
