Myanmar police officer surrenders with his weapons in Magwe Region

Ko Nyan Min, a police officer from from Saw Township police station in Magwe Region surrendered with all his weapons on 31 August, according to the Saw & Kyaukhtu Youth Force People’s Defence Force (PDF).

In a statement the PDF said that the police officer had surrendered with four grenades, 300 cartridges, one G3 rifle and two magazines and had joined the Civil Defense Movement (CDM) of people who refuse to work for the junta. 

Saw & Kyaukhtu Youth Force PDF gave the ex-police officer, who first joined the Myanmar Police force on 13 July 2017, seven million kyat as a reward for his actions.
