Myanmar reports 171 more COVID-19 cases

The Myanmar Ministry of Health and Sports has reported 171 new infection cases of COVID-19 with five more deaths as of Friday, according to Xinhua.

With the newly confirmed cases, the number of infection cases has risen to 8,515 so far.

The death toll has reached 155 while 2,381 patients have been discharged from the hospitals, according to the Health Ministry.

COVID-19 was first detected in Myanmar on March 23 this year and its first death was reported on March 31.
