Myanmar resistance group artillery fire drives junta forces out of Mandalay village

Notogyi PDF claims to have driven Military Council forces out of an occupied village in the Mandalay region. 

Natogyi PDF announced on 2 September that they opened fired with artillery on the Military Council troops stationed in Thetkalkyin Village of Mahlaing Township, Meiktila District, Mandalay region. 

According to an official from Natogyi PDF, they exchanged fires with heavy and small artillery for more than two hours.

“Three junta soldiers were killed and four were seriously injured. The four junta soldiers are at the hospital in Mahlaing Township,” the PDF official said. 

He said the military force retreated from Thetkalkyin village to Mahlaing Township after the attack.
