NLD party Patron Tin Oo discharged from hospital

Tin Oo, a patron of the National League for Democracy (NLD) party, was discharged from hospital on 28 February after recovering from COVID-19, a party member said.

Tin Oo, also referred to as U Tin Oo or Thura Tin Oo, returned returned to his home on Bodhi Yeik Thar Road in Bahan Township, Yangon.

Thura Tin Oo, 94, was admitted to the new Yangon Public Hospital (Saint John) on 18 February after coming down with symptoms of COVID-19.

He is a Burmese politician, activist, retired military general, former political prisoner, and one of the founders of the National League for Democracy (NLD) in Myanmar.
