Six people, including an NLD executive from Tanintharyi Region, were arrested by junta troops in Pataw village, in Ma Ai village tract, Kyun Su Township, Myeik District.

On 26 February Thein Tan, the NLD executive member, was arrested in his garden. His son and another resident were also arrested. On 27 February three other locals were arrested.

“Thein Tan, his son and one other person were arrested yesterday [26 February]. Junta troops arrived in large numbers today [27 February] and arrested three more locals,” said a resident of Pathaw village.
