The National Unity Government (NUG) will allocate a budget to Federal Wings for the production of aerial combat drones.

The Ministry of Defence under the NUG published the decision on 11 May, which was made during the meeting last month among Union Minister for Defence Ye Mon, Union Minister for Communications, Information and Technology Htin Lin Aung and the Federal Wings Committee.

The meeting agreed that the committee will continue working with the Ministry of Communications, Information and Technology in technical issues, research and development work, fundraising and procurement.

Moreover, No. 1801 Drone Force will be comprised with some members of Federal Wings members from the combat missions, and it will carry out military operations under the chain of command of the Ministry of Defence and allied ethnic revolution groups.

At present, the Federal Wings force is carrying out attacks together with the battalions of KNU, KNLA and KNDO under the KNU controlled area.

The Federal Wings force announced that they carried out 77 drone attacks in Mach Kowloon Tai, Taungzun, Kyarinseikkyi, Myawaddy and Thingannyinaung in the controlled area of KNU Brigade-6.

On 3 April, the joint force of KNDO Battalion 8 and Federal Wings attacked the junta military’s Wor Lay strategic post on 3 April, damaging a 122-mm howitzer and a food warehouse.
