The number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 111,900 in Myanmar as of Wednesday, according to a release from the country's Health and Sports Ministry, Xinhua reported.

The release said 1,233 new infection cases and 27 more deaths were reported in the country in the past 24 hours.

The death toll has increased to 2,346 while 90,453 recovered patients have been discharged from hospitals so far.
