Election observation organization, People’s Alliance for Credible Elections (PACE), said in its survey report that about 45% of electors would go to polling stations to cast their votes in the 2020 general election. PACE conducted a pre-poll survey across the nation from August 3 to 5 by interviewing 2,557 respondents.

PACE released the results of its pre-poll survey for 2020 general elections on October 5. These results say that in whole country sure voters are 45%, 49% in Regions, 35% in States and 44% in Yangon Region. PACE’s survey result further says that 34% answered they have no hurdles or hindrances in casting their votes and 32% answered that they have health concerns over COVID-19 infections in casting their votes.

But PACE said that they could not question respondents in some areas of Kachin, Shan and Rakhine States due to difficulties faced due to the current COVID-19 situation and other security restraints so this survey would not reflect the political opinion of the people in these States.
