PDFs use landmine attacks against Tatmadaw in Depayin

The local People's Defence Force reportedly carried out two landmine attacks on more than 40 military council troops stationed two nights in Sap Pya Kyin and Bok villages in the southwest, Depayin Township, Sagaing region.

Kaung Kin, the leader of the People's Defence Force (PDF Depayin), said that six landmines had been detonated twice and that heavy casualties were likely on the military council side. He said landmines had been planted around the village while junta force were marching to Satpyar Kyin and Boke villages but they fortunately escaped from the minefield. He added that the main attack of local Defence force was by landmines, not gunfire.

The People's Defense Forces helped the villagers flee as they were informed in advance that the junta’s troops may infiltrate the Satpyar Kyin and Boke villages.
