People’s Defence Force provides 17 CDM-turned-PDF fighters with payments

The People's Defense Army (DMO-PDF) said January 23 that they had provided financial support of 108,000 kyat to each of the 17 PDF fighters who joined from the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM), as part of a second round of payments.

These CDM staff are said to have sacrificed their lives for the people, joining the People's Defence Forces (PDF) in large numbers, and taking up arms for Myanmar Spring Revolution with the intend to oust the military junta from Myanmar.

Led by the DMO-PDF Central Committee, grants were distributed to 29 CDM comrades on January 5, for the first time at a cost of 108,000 kyat each, according to the statement.

Efforts are underway with the help of donors to financially support the CDM comrades.

With the support of local and foreign donors, many of the family members of CDM comrades are able to receive financial support. Donors are being encouraged to continue to provide assistance.
