People’s Defense Forces attack junta-backed Pyu Saw Htee militia while training in Sagaing’s Pale Township

People’s Defence Forces (PDF) attacked pro-military Pyu Saw Htee militia base camps in Inma Htee and Zee Phyu Kone villages of Pale Township, Sagaing Region at around 1:30 am on February 8, according to an officer from the Pale People's Defense Force.

The Pyu Saw Htee were attacked while they were being trained by government soldiers.

"Half of the PDF alliance forces occupied the Pyu Saw Htee camp in Inma Htee village and half of the PDF alliance forces fought in the Zee Phyu Kone camp. The alliance forces and the Pyu Saw Htee fought for an hour and the alliance forces were not harmed," said an officer from Pale PDF.

There were about 40 junta troops, and approximately 10 military council soldiers in Inma Htee Vilage and about 30 Pyu Saw Htee members in Zee Phyu Kone Village.

The fighting lasted three hours, and there were reports of casualties among the Pyu Saw Htee militia, but Mizzima was unable to confirm this independently.

This operation was carried out jointly by 12 civil defense alliances.

Pyu Saw Htee members and the military junta’s troops who trained Pyu Saw Htee members were also attacked in Zee Phyu Gone Village, Pale Township in Sagaing Region, on January 28.
