A commemoration of a 1947 massacre and mass uprising in Taiwan was interrupted on Tuesday when around a dozen demonstrators stormed the stage to demand an apology from Taipei's mayor, the event's host.

Mayor Chiang Wan-an is the purported great-grandson of former president Chiang Kai-shek, whose government oversaw the massacre.
