Hundreds of protesters, on 15 February, gathered outside the Central Bank of Myanmar in Yangon and urged the staff members of the bank to participate in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM). Soldiers and tanks were also posted in the area.

The military government’s State Administrative Council shut down the Internet across the nation from 1 am to 9 am on the day. Despite the crackdown in some areas, protests continued across the nation on 15 February.
