Ko Pyae Phyo Win, a high school teacher and Danu ethnic singer, who was released from Taung Lay Lone Prison in Taunggyi District, Southern Shan State, was immediately rearrested before arriving at the prison gate, according to a local.

Ko Pyae Phyo Win, a high school teacher living in Maing Inn village, Pindaya township, joined the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM). He was one of 117 people released on parole on October 20 and was immediately rearrested. Residents said that he was rearrested by the military council on terrorism charges.

He was originally arrested by the military council in Pan Tha Khwar high school, Taunggy township, May 17 and charged under Section 505 (a) of the Penal Code for defamation of the military.
