The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The NUG announced that they had blacklisted and dismissed 177 non-CDM officers from Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture for oppressing CDM staff.
  • Under the instruction of the NUG Union Prime Minister Man Win Khine Than, the Ministry of Communication, Information and Technology organised Federal Wings, a fund-raising campaign.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Shwebo Township in Sagaing Region, the junta armed forces stationing in Palaing Village and Shwebo-YeU road section were attacked with mines and bombs from drones by PDFs on Wednesday. Reportedly, four junta soldiers died.
  • In Shwebo Township, the junta Pyu Saw Htee members in Ziphyugone Village were attacked with bombs from a drone on Tuesday. Reportedly, two of them died.
  • On Thursday morning, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship.
  • The Youth Force (Saw & Kyaukhtu) gave a financial reward worth of 70 lakh MMK to a policeman from a local police station who had joined the CDM together with his weapons on Wednesday.
  • In Myaing Township in Magwe Region, a combined force of local PDFs attacked the junta armed forces.
  • In Namsam in Shan State, a junta soldier named Chan Nyein died from drinking pesticide on Wednesday night.
  • In Thanlyin Township in Yangon Region, there were exchanges of gunfire between two junta soldiers in charge of security in Sitbingwin Village. Consequently, seven others died. As the two shooters escaped, the whole town was blocked off for inspection on Thursday.
  • Federal Wings, a force attacking the junta army with a drone, started production of their drones such as Multi Rotor and VTOL.
  • Somewhere in Yangon on Thursday morning, there was an anti-junta banner saying ‘We must be the last generation having to revolt against the military dictatorship’.
  • In Hmawbi Township in Yangon Region, there was a remote mine attack on the junta township police office.
  • In Mandalay, there was a bomb explosion on Thursday morning while the junta administration was meeting with local people in the compound of Bawdigone Pagoda. Reportedly, a man was injured.
  • In Fruso Township of Karenni State, about 5,000 displaced people are badly in need of food as the ran out of food two months ago.
  • In Longlone Township in Tanintharyi Region, the junta armed forces opened fire and raided a house in Nyaungbyin Village at 9:30 pm on Wednesday. They then committed a robbery.
  • The junta Central Bank of Myanmar announced that it would support the fuel oil businesses with $200 million USD. Following the announcement, the prices of fuel oil fell on Thursday.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • At Mile Post 40 on the border of Rakhine State and Bangladesh, the Arakan Army (AA) attacked and took control of the junta army camp. Reportedly, 19 junta soldiers died and many weapons were confiscated.
  • The Karen National Union (KNU) carried out the activities for the reunion of two CDM soldiers with their family members.
  • On the border of Taungoo and Tandabin townships in Bago Region, there was fighting between the junta army and a combined force of the KNLA and PDFs on Wednesday evening. Reportedly, five junta soldiers might have died.
  • In an area under the control of KNU Brigade (6), KNLA, Cobra Troop and Federal Wings conducted bomb attacks on the junta army near Kyawwarboe Pagoda.
  • In Yay Township in Mon State, local PDFs attacked the police station in the town of Kawzar on Thursday morning. Reportedly, there were casualties among at least two junta police members.

The Military Council

  • The junta Ministry of Health announced that those joining medical universities at their own expense would not have to work as government employees.
  • The military junta led by Min Aung Hlaing gave junta soldiers and police a 30,000 MMK payment each as a so-called risking life payment.
  • The junta Trade Department announced that they had lifted some restrictions for importers of medicines and medical supplies. Reportedly, importers could now make direct applications via Tradenet 2.0 just like before.
  • According to the junta propaganda media, the sale and support of fertilizer for the rainy season for farmers in Eainme in the Ayeyarwaddy Region has a been completed for 2022.
  • To develop partnership farming in the summer, the military junta will reportedly support 850,000 acres of farmland with agricultural supplies worth of 200,000 MMK per acre.
  • On Thursday, there was a third meeting between the junta peace team and the RCSS delegation.
  • The junta Chief Minister of Kachin State said that exports would resume through the China-Myanmar trade camps and it was necessary to make an effort so that traders do not make a loss and the country receives tax revenue.

  • Due to the oppression and arrests by the junta armed forces, there were fewer protests in urban areas. On the other hand, the armed guerrilla revolution has gained momentum.
  • To relieve the surge in the value of the USD, the military junta sold 200 million USD in the market. Consequently, the prices of fuel oil, dollars and gold slightly decreased. However, it was just a quick-fix, which will only last for a short time.
