The National Unity Government (NUG)

· Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, stated that all the plans of the civilian government for democratic progress had failed, including the signing of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, due to the military coup in Myanmar.

· In Thayet District of Magwe Region, a combined force of local PDFs conducted a mine attack on a junta convoy which went past Hsin Paungwe Township. Reportedly, 8 junta soldiers died.

· Amidst various hardships, the Federal Wings has been producing new and powerful drones. They released a video in which they were testing long-range spy drones.

· On Wednesday, the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration met with Township People’s Administration Teams from Magwe Region and Mandalay Region.

Revolutionary Activities

· Pro-military people claimed that China has supported the offensive of the Brotherhood Alliance in Northern Shan State. The experts also said that the battles could only break out when China permits. Regarding those points, a spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry rejected them.

· In Shwebo Township, local PDFs attacked the junta army between Ywathit Corner and Zeedaw Village. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died and 8 others were seriously injured.

· In Kyaukse Township of Mandalay Region, 6 young people were arrested and accused of having set fire to the office of the Union Solidarity and Development Party. According to local people, all of them were killed by the junta army.

· In Insein Township of Yangon Region, there was an attack via 40mm grenades on the car terminal belonging to the junta’s Myanmar Economic Corporation (MEC) on the Japan Road as part of an urban operation.

· In Khayan and Thonekwa Townships, local PDFs attacked 4 military targets using powerful bombs and 40mm grenades.

· In Longlone Township of Tanintharyi Region, the Dawei Democratic Movement Strike Committee conducted an anti-junta campaign on Wednesday afternoon.

· In Tharyarwady District and Pyi District in the west of Bago Region, the military junta has blockaded the streets down the Bago Mountain Range. In addition, they have had a large number of their junta soldiers on secret patrol in the areas.

· In Chauk of Magwe Region, the junta’s Chair of Township Municipal Committee was shot dead.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) announced that the administration resumed in Pang Seng, a town they had seized on the China-Myanmar border.

· The MNDAA gained complete control of the whole area of Shan Wan in Kokang District as they managed to destroy the junta army camp in Konegyan, which had been there for nearly 30 years.

· In Matupi District of Chin State, a combination of Chin revolutionary forces attacked the junta camp in Yeswa Town. Reportedly, over 30 junta soldiers were caught and a large number of weapons were confiscated.

· According to the Chin Joint Defence Committee, the Chin National Army and Chin Defence Forces have gained control of 7 local towns.

· There was an official meeting between the Shan State Progressive Party/ Shan State Army and the Restoration Council of Shan State/ Shan State Army. Reportedly, they agreed to a ceasefire.

· In Myitgyina of Kachin State, a combined force of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and PDFs have been after a group who pretend to be PDF members and demand money over the phone.

· In Karenni State, 5 non-CDM staff from Loikaw University including the Rector and Vice-Rector, and their families were handed to the Karenni State People’s Police Force.

The Military Council

· The junta Ministry of Home Affairs released an instruction that the junta’s soldiers, police, departmental employees and local administrators are to take caution as they might be assassinated by people on motorbikes.

· In the junta’s meeting in Naypyi Taw, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing stated that the junta armed forces in Northern Shan State had to leave their camps as they were faced with attacks from powerful forces using about 6,500 foreign drone experts and 25,000 military drone bombs.

· In Hommalin Township of Sagaing Region, the military junta has conducted daily aerial attacks on the town of Shwe Pyi Aye seized by PDFs. Reportedly, 2 civilians were seriously injured.

· After the border towns were seized in Chin State, the junta Foreign Minister summoned Indian Ambassador to Myanmar in Naypyi Taw on Wednesday.

· The junta’s Supervisory Team of Kokang Self-Administered Division announced that local people should not take risks to run out of the area as there have been battles all over the country.

· The junta spokesperson Major General Zaw Min Tun stated that another 193 teachers and students from Loikaw University had been released. He also expressed thanks to the peace negotiators.

· The junta leader Senior General Min Aung Hlaing blamed low productivity on a lack of hard work despite potential resources and the country’s climate.

Summary on 1 December

· Instead of mentioning his stupidity and power hunger, the junta leader just blamed the others for military losses and the decline of the national economy.

· Judging from a statement by the junta’s supervisor of Kokang Area, it is assumed that they might abuse local people as human shields.
