The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Ministry of Labour-NUG announced that they had helped Myanmar factory workers with their compensation worth 1,200,000 Baht in Chaiya in southern Thailand.
  • According to Ministry of Labour-NUG, the military junta has been creating various hardships for the workforce not to take part in the revolution. Likewise, some capitalists and business owners have been cooperating with the junta to oppress their workers.
  • In the auction sale of the land confiscated by the military junta in Mandalay, the NUG earned over 9 million USD within two and a half days.
  • In Gantgaw Township of Magwe Region, healthcare providers from the Ministry of Health-NUG, in cooperation with the interim educators, conducted health talks and provided anti-worm tablets to the students.

Revolution Activities

  • Spring Guerrillas vowed that they would join hands with local PDFs in the fight against the military dictatorship until the emergence of a federal union.
  • In Monywa Township of Sagaing Region, there were exchanges of fire as Chindwin Attack Force happened to meet Pyusawti members while preparing for the military operation.
  • In Yinmabin Township, local PDFs attacked the junta army no less than six times within a day between Bantbway Village and Aungzayagone. Reportedly, there were many casualties among junta soldiers and a military truck fell into a gorge.
  • In Yinmabin North, a rally of Shwe Nwe Thwe expressed their desire for the United Nations to keep U Kyaw Moe Tun as Myanmar’s Ambassador.
  • In Monywa, there was an explosion at Myanmar’s Economic Bank. Reportedly, there was also gunfire.
  • In Myaung Township, the junta army set fire to Nyaungkaryar Village. Reportedly, 5 houses were burnt to ashes.
  • In Monywa Township, there was a clash between local PDF and Pyusawti on Saturday night. Reportedly, there might have been casualties among the junta members.
  • In Gantgaw Township of Magwe Region, PDFs have been building houses for fire victims from local villages which were burnt by the junta armed forces.
  • At Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, anti-junta youth hung a banner for the revolution on Sunday.
  • In New York in the United States, Myanmar people conducted a sale on Saturday to raise funds for the revolution.
  • As a part of Nan Htike Aung Operation, a combined force of PDFs attacked a military convoy on the way from Pyigyi Mandaing to Boatpyin.
  • CDM Medical Network strongly condemned the military junta as a nurse named Daw Theingi Soe lost her life on the way to Thailand to avoid the junta’s oppression of CDM staff.
  • In Kyaukbadaung of Mandalay Region, there was an explosion in front of No. (2) Basic Education High School at 12:15 pm Sunday.
  • In Madayar Township, a junta policeman named Soe Ko Ko was shot dead between Kwaytaw Village and Paitthanoe Village at 7:50 pm Friday.
  • In Johor State of Malaysia, there was a sale together with performance show to raise funds for the revolution.
  • In Chonburi province of Thailand, there was a music concert on Sunday to raise funds for Spring Revolution.
  • In Chonburi of Thailand, there was a football match themed ‘Let’s support the PDFs to uproot the military dictatorship’.
  • In Chungju of South Korea, there was a protest against Myanmar’s military dictatorship. Reportedly, Myanmar Federal Democratic Mission Coalition held a football match to raise revolution funds.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Kawthoolei Administration Area under the Karen National Union-KNU, there were 333 battles in September. According to KNU Central, 360 junta soldiers died and 264 others were injured.
  • On 25 March 2021, MATC/MDF killed a CDM policeman from CDF-Mara and injured 3 members. They then conducted a deliberate attack on CDF-Mara again. According to CDF-Mara, they would take action as required.
  • In Banmauk Township of Sagaing Region, a combined force of Kachin Independence Army- KIA and PDF attacked a local police station. Reportedly, 11 members of the junta police died.

The Military Council

  • The military junta announced that the debt of electricity bills was worth over 200 billion MMK from December 2020 to August 2022.
  • The Central Bank stated that they would give interest on the excess amount of particular cash reserves from banks.
  • In Dawei of Taninthayi Region, a traditional festival of floating alms bowls was opened at 4:30 am Sunday.
  • Deputy Director from the junta Ministry of Energy said that 8 state-owned fuel oil shops and an LPG shop would be rented to local private business people for a long-term period.
  • The military junta announced that the night market at Water Fountain Garden in Nay Pyi Taw was crowded with visitors from all over the country.
  • The military junta stated that they had handed back 2 PDF members to their parents.
  • In the tenure of the National League for Democracy-NLD Government, Pinpet Iron Factory was suspended with the decision of the parliament. Reportedly, the junta Myanmar Economic Corporation and Tyazhprom export of the Russian government would carry out activities to run the factory as soon as possible.

Summary on 9 October

  • Through a large sum of money from fund-raising auctions and financial contributions to revolution forces, it can be clearly seen that the general public still supports the revolution against the military dictatorship.
  • In Sagaing Region, the revolution continues in great momentum. As for Yangon and Mandalay, they have had urban guerrillas and anti-junta movements amidst the oppression of the junta armed forces. In Dawei, in the lower part of the country, the protests decreased. However, the armed revolution gained momentum in the area. The same was true for Yay.
