Spring Revolution Daily News for 10 September 2022 

The National Unity Government (NUG) 

  • On Friday, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration-NUG announced the activities of Special Operation Force on the one-year anniversary of the People’s Defensive War on 7 September. 
  • On Friday, the Ministry of Education-NUG issued information related to basic education completion exams and sample question papers. 
  • Union Minister of Defence-NUG said that the present could be regarded as the initial period of counter-attack and there would be more guerrilla activities. 
  • Union Prime Minister of the NUG said that every minute was important in the revolution and thus, it was necessary to work hard all the time. He also added that the annual report of the Committee was to be submitted to the Cabinet and call for advice from other Ministers. 
  • According to the NUG, there was a meeting between the delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs-NUG and the team led by Czech Foreign Minister Mr. Jan Lipavský in the Czech Republic on 2 September. 

Revolution Activities 

  • In Yinmabin Township and Kani Township of Sagaing Region, no less than 40 junta soldiers died in local battles from 19 to 30 August. 
  • As a 580-day protest, Kalay General Strike marched against the military dictatorship on Friday, calling on the United Nations to keep U Kyaw Moe Tun as Myanmar’s Ambassador. 
  • On Friday morning, local people in Khin-U Township expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship, chanting slogans for the UN to keep U Kyaw Moe Tun as Myanmar’s Ambassador. 
  • Amidst tight security measures of the junta armed forces for the copper trucks from Letpadaung Project, a combined rally of Salingyi and Yinmabin conducted their 547-day protest against the military dictatorship. 
  • In Kani Township, a combined rally of Basic Education Students’ Union and the public expressed their objection to the military dictatorship on Friday morning, raising an anti-junta banner. 
  • Between Chaung-Wa Village of Katha Township in Sagaing Region and Mingyaunggone Village in Shweku Township of Kachin State, there was a battle between the junta army and Myohla PDF on Thursday. Reportedly, 4 junta soldiers died and no less than 5 others were injured. 
  • In Chaung-U Township, Women Drone Force based in Myaung Township carried out 4 bomb attacks via drone on the junta armed forces on Thursday. 
  • In Thanlyin Township of Yangon Region, the junta armed forces have been destroying the houses in front of Tarwa University, saying that they belong to squatters. 
  • In Mingaladone Township, HRU conducted a remote bomb attack on the junta army gate near the No. (3) traffic lights at about 9:00 pm Thursday. 
  • In North Okkalapa Township, a combined rally of local students’ unions conducted a movement on Friday morning, hanging anti-junta banners in front of No. (4) Basic Education High School. 
  • Due to the information that weapons would be carried to Yangon via Kayin State, the junta armed forces have been strictly inspecting vehicles coming into Yangon. Reportedly, hundreds of cars have been stuck at Nyaungkhashay Gate in Bago Region. 
  • Sagaing PDF announced that the public were not to take the buses of Shwemanthu and Shanmalay as there would be mine attacks on those junta services. 
  • In Hpakant of Kachin State, local people expressed their desire for the UN to keep Myanmar’s Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun. They also showed their support for the KIA, PDF and NUG. They then protested against the military dictatorship. 

Revolution Activities 

  • On Thursday, Moebye PDF attacked the junta army invading the area. Reportedly, no less than 10 junta soldiers died and 12 others were injured. 
  • In Phapun District under the Karen National Union-KNU, Saw Mi Lay from Mataw Village took away 3 weapons and some bullets from the junta Border Guard Force-BGF and handed them into KNU Brigade (5). 
  • In Moebye of Pekone Township on the border of Shan State and Karenni State, nearly 20 junta soldiers died in the battle the previous day and their weapons were confiscated. On Friday, the junta army conducted aerial bombing in the area. 
  • In Paletwa Township of Chin State, local CDF clarified the case in which a junta informer from Wataing Village had died in detention. 

The Military Council 

  • According to the junta Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, Singapore topped the list of foreign country investment in Myanmar with more than one billion USD within 5 months of the fiscal year. 
  • The junta City Development Committee of Nay Pyi Taw stated that a company had been granted the long-term project of major renovation for Nay Pyi Taw Water Fountain Garden with 15 billion MMK for 20 years. 
  • The junta Foreign Minister said that they had been carrying out activities with a coordination committee and 4 working committees for the peace and stability of Rakhine State. 
  • According to the military junta, a police sergeant named Aung Nyunt was shot dead in Chanmya Thazi Township of Mandalay Region on Thursday night. 
  • In his visit to the booth of Republic of Buryatia, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing discussed with local government leader Mr. Aleksey Sambuyevich Tsydenov at the 7th Eastern Economic Forum in Russia. 
  • In order to open a Myanmar Consulate and a business centre as soon as possible in Vladivostok in Russia, the junta leader had a discussion with the local government of Primorsky. 

Summary on 9 September 

  • Minister of Defence-NUG claimed that the present was the period of counter attacks. Consequently, there might be more severe battles. 
  • The junta leader has been arranging to open a business centre in Russia. In other words, he has been preparing to hand in the resources of the country to Russia. 
  • As for local PDFs, they have conducted more bomb attacks via drone recently. Reportedly, the junta armed forces have had a great loss in such attacks.
