Spring Revolution Daily News for 10 September 2023 

The National Unity Government (NUG) 
The Acting President stated that the People’s Defence Forces have been able to strategically confront the junta armed forces as a result of the military training and arms equipment of the Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs). 
At 3:00 pm Friday, there was a meeting (23/2023) between Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration-NUG and People’s Police Force. 
On Saturday, it was announced that the PDFs in Mandalay District had been combined as the Alliance of Mandalay Brotherhood. 

Revolution Activities 
In Kyaikto Township of Mon State, U Aung Lwin, a retired army officer, was assassinated in Taungthusu Ward on his way home together with his wife and his son. 
In Wetlet Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army set fire to Phowintart Village. They also killed a local resident. 
Somewhere in Chaung-U Township, the Local Youth Strike Committee (CYSC) conducted an educational talk on federalism, politics, democracy and the revolution. 
As a 900-day protest, a combined rally of local villages in Yinmabin Township marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday morning. 
In Kathar Township, there has been fighting between local PDFs and the junta army stationing in Pyintaungle Village for five days. 
According to the leader of Bharma National Revolution Army, they established the BNRA after consulting with the NUG, not to separate, but to strengthen the revolution. 
In Wetlet Township, a local person lost his life as he stepped on a mine set by the junta army in the sports ground. 
In Kayin State, a teacher and 3 teenage students lost their lives due to an air strike of the junta army. 
In Kamamaung of Hpapun Township in Kayin State, there was a bomb attack on the junta General Administration Department. Reportedly, U Soe Min, the administrator of Ward (4), died. 
In Paukkaung of Bago Region, Than Win, a former captain, was shot dead at about 4:00 pm Thursday. 
At 4:30 pm Saturday, Yangon Western District PDF fired heavy artillery into the compound of Yangon Regional Hluttaw. 
In Sintku Township of Mandalay Region, there was a grenade attack at the junta administration office of Latpanhla Village. Reportedly, the junta administrator and the hundred-household leader died. 

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs) 
In Karenni State, the junta armed forces have been invading along the Union Road of Fruso-Bawlake. Therefore, Karenni Nationalities Defence Force released a statement warning the public not to use the road. 
In Hpapun District under control of Karen National Union, the KNU Brigade (5) attacked Kaypu, the junta army camp. Reportedly, there were a large number of casualties among junta soldiers and many weapons were confiscated. 
In Kyaukme Township and Lashio Township of Shan State, there were heavy battles between the junta army and Ta’ang National Liberation Army. Reportedly, there were casualties among junta soldiers and their weapons were confiscated. 
In Wa Self-Administered Region of Northern Shan State, Wa Police Force handed over 1,207 Chinese gamblers to Chinese Police Force. 
The Military Council 
The junta Yangon Regional Chief Minister expressed thanks to the Chinese government for their support for peace, prosperity and sustainable development of Mekong-Lancang Region. 
The junta Ministry of Labor instructed that they would revoke the permit of working overseas for three years to those who fail to transfer 25% of their salaries via legal methods. 
The junta Minister of Planning and Finance stated that the responsible personnel should make an effort to continue the loan services, which was suspended in Rakhine State due to Cyclone Mocha. 
The military junta announced that they had asked the Philippines first if they could take up the Chair of the ASEAN and Myanmar had transferred the Chairmanship to them only afterwards. 

Summary on 10 September 
The military junta seized power by force and they have been killing people on a daily basis. That’s why they have been devoid of the recognition from the international community and the ASEAN. They have not been invited to the meetings. Nevertheless, they shamelessly issued a statement as if they had willingly transferred their chairmanship to the Philippines. 
In Kayin State, there have been more attacks on the junta army camps and offices. Reportedly, the junta army has been in the position of defence.
