The National Unity Government (NUG) 

  • The Ministry of Education-NUG announced that they would take action in accordance with the transformational justice regarding the case of Free Online Education Institution Myanmar (FOEIM). 
  • At 10:00 am Thursday, there was a meeting (6/2023) of Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration- NUG. 
  • At 3:00 pm Thursday, there was a meeting between Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration-NUG and District People’s Administrative Teams. 
  • In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, the Local People’s Administrative Team has been providing assistance to local residents who have been facing the war crimes of the junta armed forces. 

Revolution Activities 

  • In Yinmabin Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army entered Kyoukkone Village. Reportedly, they ill-treated and killed Myint Swe, an advocate of the Union Solidarity and Development Party who had not run away from the village. 
  • In Kani Township, a combined force of PDFs attacked and took control of a junta vessel, which got stranded on the Chindwin River near Thabyedaw Village. According to KLG PDF, 20 junta soldiers died. 
  • On Friday, Taze Township General Strike marched against the military dictatorship. 
  • On Friday, a combined rally of villages from Salingyi and Yinmabin led a march for the end of the military dictatorship. 
  • In Yinmabin North, local people protested against the military dictatorship on Friday morning. 
  • In Mindone Township of Magwe Region, 2 junta soldiers were shot dead. 
  • In Myaing Township, Pakkoku Township and Kamma Town, local PDFs conducted attacks on the junta inspection gates. 
  • In Kawkarait Township of Kayin State, the junta army shot heavy artillery shells into two local villages in Kyonedo. Consequently, a woman lost her life. 
  • In Longlone Township of Taninthayi Region, Dawei District Democracy Committee organized an anti-junta public talk on Friday. 
  • In Mandalay Region, there was an attack via four mortars into the junta air force base in Tada-U on Thursday night. Reportedly, it was still unclear whether there were casualties and damage. 
  • Myingyan Black Tiger (MBT) released a statement calling on the general public to contribute as they have been in urgent need of bullets for battles. 
  • In Myingyan Township, there was a mine attack on a junta police vehicle near Tainbanpauk Village on their way to town on Wednesday. Reportedly, all the 12 policemen in the vehicle died. 
  • Joe Phyu Guerrilla Force based in Shan South has conducted a raffle project worth 150 lakh MMK to buy a M79 40mm launcher. 

Ethnic Armed Organizations 

  • The military junta sent a letter to the Chair and the Commander of the KNU to control KNLA, KNDO and PDFs. According to a member of KNU CEC, the letter was just an activity to divide the KNU and the CEC, which have already decided to fight until the downfall of the military dictatorship. 
  • On Thursday, there was an event on the two-year anniversary of the formation of Monywa People’s General Strike Committee. Reportedly, the ULA/AA, PSLF/TNLA and MNTJP/MNDAA sent a statement. 

The Military Council 

  • The junta National Unity and Peace Coordination Committee sent a letter to Saw Mutu Say Poe, the Chair of the Karen National Union-KNU, to control the armed forces under them. 
  • In Thantlang Township of Chin State, PDFs attacked and took control of a local police office on Thursday. Regarding the incident, the military junta claimed that the police managed to retreat successfully. 
  • In a meeting with departments in Ayeyarwady Region, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing told the government employees to be dutiful individually as well as to take care in terms of the security of confidential information. 
  • The People’s Pioneer Party-PPP, led by the junta Social Welfare Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khine, decided to register again for the election. 
  • The junta Union Election Commission-UEC presented to the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing about the setting up of Myanmar Electronic Voting Machines (MEVM). 
  • According to the junta propaganda newspapers on Friday, some members of ASEAN have been putting one-sided pressure on Myanmar. 

Summary on 10 February 

  • Recently, the PDFs have had heavy fighting against the junta camps, police stations and vessels. They have also been able to take control of a number of them. 
  • To play a trick on the international community in terms of legitimacy, the military junta led by Min Aung Hlaing has been making arrangements for an election by force.
