Yangon Region

· According to Kamayut Federal Defense Force (KFDF), a large number of the junta armed forces raided their location at about 10:20 pm Friday. As they got the information in advance, they managed to move elsewhere. However, some of their property was taken away. They expressed their sorrow that some people who had nothing to do with them were arrested. They also made a pledge that they would keep up their fight against the military junta.

· After several explosions at the junta electricity departments in Yangon, the junta armed forces tightened security by making barricades with sand bags in front of Thingangyun Township electricity office. They also inspected those who came there to pay electricity bills.

· Yangon Urban Guerrillas was established with 14 partner PDFs in Yangon. They have been gathering manpower, money and weapons to counter-attack the junta armed forces.

· Yangon Economics University Students’ Union announced that 16 CDM teachers had gone back to work at their university.

· In Shwe Pyi Tha Township, there was an explosion at township electricity office in Ward (6) at about 2:00 pm Saturday. After that, the junta armed forces tightened security there.

· At Yangon MRTV office under the junta communication department, there are COVID-19 transmitted cases.

Mandalay Region

· Man Aungmye Thazan Schools and Cooperative University Students expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship, chanting “We will never kneel down before your army boots”.

· A combining rally of Man Aung Pinle, Phayagyi and Cooperative University Students went around the city and protested against the military dictatorship.

· Amidst arrests by the junta armed forces under false pretenses, Man Myataung rally made a protest against the military dictatorship, banging pots and pans.

· A rally of Chan/Zi in Unity took to the streets in the city on Saturday afternoon and expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.

· Manlay Pyinyat Monks’ Union went around the city and expressed their desire for the release of those who have been unjustly arrested and against the military dictatorship.

· In Myingyan Township, some unknown armed people made a bomb explosion and fired ammunition into the house of U Kyi Maung who was allegedly an informer to the junta and Pyusawti member, in Magyisu village at about 10:00 pm Friday. Reportedly, he died in the incident and some of his family members were injured.

· According to Myingyan Public Movement Committee, the junta armed forces arrested Mg Kyaw Swa from Tanaungtine village at about 11:00 am Saturday, with the excuse that he had phone contact with a person who had been arrested on 7th July.

Bago Region

· In Bago, junta-appointed household leader U Thaung Ngwe, U Tun Oo and another man were shot in Mon Sanpya (7) street on their way to the tea-shop on Saturday morning. U Thaung Ngwe died on the spot. Reportedly, U Tun Oo was injured and died on arrival at the hospital.

Sagaing Region 

· In Katha, there were exchanges of fire for 15 minutes between the junta armed forces and the combined force of KIA and PDF at the parking ground of trucks in Ward (9) at about 6:00 pm Friday.

· In Khin-U Township, U Tun Khine, allegedly an informer to the junta and Pyusawti member in Ohnbingone Saikaung village, was assassinated on Friday afternoon.

· Young residents of Kalay went around the town to protest against the military dictatorship and held an event to remember Innkant Kyin, a volunteer who had passed away the previous day due to COVID-19.

· With hundreds of people, a rally comprising various villages from Salingyi North and Yinmabin East expressed their desire for the end of the military dictatorship.

· In Salingyi Township, Latbadaung Taung General Strike goes around the villages every day without fail and expresses their disapproval of the military dictatorship.

· As the junta armed forces have been going around the villages in Dibeyin Township and firing ammunition, the local residents have had to run away. Although those IDPs do not lack food, they are in need of medicines and emergency healthcare.

· In Chaung-U Township, a rally of the public, led by the monks, went around the villages and expressed their opposition to the military dictatorship.

· In Pale Township, the junta armed forces have been stationing at the combining office. At about 10:30 am Saturday, they destroyed NLD sign boards in front of the house of U Myint Kyi, NLD member and Minister of Sagaing City Development Committee, in Parami Ward.

· In Kani Township, the junta armed forces conducted raids even in the forests near the villages in Katlone area on Saturday morning. Reportedly, some local residents were arrested.

· Monywa General Strike, in cooperation with a rally of Ta-Ka-Tha students, expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.

Magwe Region

· The public from Natmauk Township made an indoors paper strike with posters containing anti-junta slogans.

· In Myaing Township, local residents of the southern zone went around the villages and made a motorbike protest against the military dictatorship.

Ayeyarwady Region

· In Myinkagone village of Bogalay, the junta electricity department collected electricity bills by force on Saturday and put pressure on those who could afford to pay at once.

· In Thabaung Township, the junta police were fed with ginger soup as a nutritional supplement for the prevention of COVID-19.

· In Pathein Township, the junta electricity department started to conduct power-cuts to the houses on Chaungtha beach which haven’t paid electricity bills.

· In some townships of Ayeyarwady Region, people’s armed forces are being established with at least 10 people per ward by persuading the youth and spare fire-fighters with the excuse to protect from the attacks of PDFs.

Taninthayi Region

· In Longlone Township, Nyinmaw residents went around the village and protested against the military dictatorship, holding banners - “We will never kneel down before your army boots”. In Thajettaw and Gauin villages, there were rallies for the downfall of the military dictatorship. 

· In Longlone Township, the junta armed forces came to Thabawseit Pyingyi village many times to arrest U Kan Win for joining the protests. As they didn’t find him, they arrested his 13-year-old son and his grandmother of 68 as hostages.

· Dawei Variety Forces, in cooperation with a rally of the youth, expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship on Saturday morning.

Kachin State

· In Shweku Township, 160 soldiers from the junta army (88) came into Myohla village under the influence of KIA regiment (5) on Friday morning. They were attacked with mines by KIA and local PDFs. Reportedly, they lost 30 soldiers with 40 others injured. In the afternoon, they made air-strikes on that location.

· The youth in Moegaung made a protest against the military dictatorship at dawn on Saturday.

· The local residents of Nammati protested against the military dictatorship, holding banners - “Downfall of the military junta”.

· The public in Pha-Kant Tamakan Myothit expressed their objection to the military dictatorship, holding signs - “Uproot the fascist army”.

Kayar State

· Moebye PDF announced on Saturday that the public are not to pay electricity bills which would support the military junta. They also gave a special warning that they would take necessary action if Moebye electricity department continued to collect bills by force in various ways.

· During the battles in Kayar State between local PDFs and the junta armed forces, the military fired mortars and set the houses on fire. Consequently, there were damages to the houses of local residents; 88 in Moebye, 58 in Dimawso and 9 in Lwaikaw respectively.

Kayin State

· After making investigations with regard to the massive murder of 25 people near Kane village in Wawlay, major general Nedamya, chief military officer of KNDO under KNU, and captain Sawbawa were suspended from their positions. On 31st May, KNDO arrested 47 construction workers of Uhu bridge on Kanele-Mawki road. Regarding the deaths of the 25 construction workers, the military junta informed the KNU that those people were civilians and requested KNU to take disciplinary action.

Chin State

· Chinland Defense Force – Kalay Kabaw Gangaw (CDF-KKG) was established for building Federal Democracy Union which can guarantee national equality and the end of the dictatorship. Under the oversight of CNF, they would fight together with other local CDFs.

Mon State

· In Mudone Township, Ma Pwint Thazin Oo, a 26-year-old teacher, had been missing since the afternoon of 8th July. On Friday morning, she was found dead in the gully near Magala bridge in Kyaikmayaw Township. Her motorbike, mobile phone and jewelry were missing.

· In Yay Township, a captain in plain clothes was shot dead by an unknown gunman at about 6:30 pm Friday while he was on his way back with a motorbike to his army No. (317) near Lamai.

· In Mawlamyein, 60% of railway staff members were dismissed for joining the CDM. They were also removed from their quarters. Despite facing difficulties, they said that they would keep up their fight against the military dictatorship.

· In Bilin Township, the junta armed forces and BGFs have been stationing at Laykay village. At about 1:00 pm Friday, KNLA shot at them. In response, the junta armed forces fired mortars into the villages. Consequently, 4 houses of local residents were damaged.

· Paung Township Pyithu Hluttaw MP Daw Mi Con Chan called on the public not to pay electricity bills collected by the military junta. She also said that if the current administration team of Paung Township and the electricity department must be held accountable if they were doing harm to the lives and property of the public.

Rakhine State

· In Gwa Township, the junta soldiers from Ka-Ma-Ya army (562) raided the house of Ko Kyaw Kyaw Aung at about 9:00 pm on 8th July and arrested Ko Kyaw Kyaw Aung (25 years) and U Aung Than Myint (63 years), with the excuse that they were arresting them in connection with the fire at the administration office in Daungchaung village on 21st June.

Shan State

· Namkam People’s Security and Defense Force sent a warning letter with a bullet to township education officer U Kyaw Naing Thwin to stop putting pressure on CDM staff members.

· In Panlin village of Kyaukme Township, 20-year-old Mai Ike Sai stepped on a mine on his way to the tea-plantation at about 7:30 am Saturday. He was injured in the explosion.

Nay Pyi Taw

· Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, the junta leader, said in the meeting that external doctors would be hired with contracts to control the third wave of COVID-19. He also confessed that the military hospitals could no longer provide sufficient medical treatment.

· The military junta will change the service fees charged by private telecommunication operators. They will also change the prices of promotion packs after 12:00 am on 12th July.

· In Pyinmana Township, the public are allowed to go out only with permit cards for the control of COVID-19. Reportedly, the junta administration offices are issuing as many cards as needed by collecting 100 Kyats to 2500 Kyats per card.

· On Saturday, Ministry of Electricity and Energy - NUG announced tax-exemption for petroleum and related products, not to cause shortages in public services as well as local and international investments and to control fuel prices for public transportation and the cost of living.

Summary on 10th July

· Although there were no public protests on the streets in Yangon, there were explosions at the junta electricity departments. The military junta continued to put pressure for the payment of electricity bills and carry out power-cuts. They kept armed forces at electricity departments and tightened security. With the help of informers, they continued to carry out raids and arrests.

· In Mandalay, there were still public protests on the streets. As for the military junta, they still had preparations to make crackdowns on the protests by mobile patrols and armed people in plain clothes under false pretenses.

· In other states and regions, there were still anti-junta movements. As for Shan State with a high rate of COVID-19 infection, they had almost no protests.

· The military junta has been preparing to hire doctors with contracts for the weakness in medical treatment due to CDM health staff members. To gain taxes, they have been putting pressure on mobile operators to change their service charges. In some townships, the junta administration offices have been selling permit cards to go out amidst mobility restrictions due to COVID-19 infection. The military junta has been constantly putting

pressure all across the country to be able to collect electricity bills. They have also tightened security measures at electricity departments.
