Yangon Region

  • In Bodataung Township, the junta armed forces raided an apartment where young people had been staying on Tuesday evening. They shot at Mg Kaung Min Thant, who then fell off the building. After that, another five young people jumped down from the rooftop.
  • In Bodataung Township, the junta armed forces raided No. (38) in lower block of 44 street. In the incident, a total of 6 young people lost their lives as they fell off and jumped down from the building. Reportedly, their bodies were not given back to their families. Instead, the military junta arranged a combined burial of them.
  • In Mingala Taung Nyunt Township, the junta armed forces raided the houses in some streets and made inspections the previous night.
  • Hlaing Thayar PDF issued a warning statement on Wednesday evening that they would not guarantee the life of an alleged informer to the junta, who had given direction to the location on 44 street in Bodataung Township where 6 young people died.

Mandalay Region

  • According to local residents of Sintku Township, bomb explosions happened simultaneously at 3 police stations and city development office on Monday night.
  • On Tuesday night, Mandalay General Strike led a march against the military dictatorship.
  • On Tuesday night, Mandalay Monks’ Union recited Parittas for the public as usual and protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Pyigyi Dagun Township, there were exchanges of fire in Ward C near 117 and 62 streets at about 6:00 am Wednesday. Reportedly, a junta soldier died in the incident.
  • At about 8:00 pm Tuesday, three junta policemen from Sintkai Township police office had an argument. Second sergeant Hla Min Kyaw, who had tried to settle the dispute, was shot dead in his chest.
  • On Wednesday, a rally of Mandalay engineers marched against the military dictatorship.
  • With black ribbons in sorrow for 6 martyrs from Yangon, Mandala University students marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday.
  • On Wednesday, Myataung rally protested against the military watchdog.
  • At about 4:00 pm Wednesday, the junta armed forces conducted a violent crackdown on the protest of the Monks’ Union at the corner of 32 and 85 streets. Reportedly, they tried to arrest the monks from the rally.

Sagaing Region

  • On Wednesday morning, a rally comprising various villages from Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched in support of the NUG and against the military dictatorship.
  • On Wednesday morning, Kalay townspeople managed to carry out their anti-junta movement.
  • In Butalin, bomb explosions happened simultaneously near the township administration office and near a police station at about 8:20 am Wednesday.

Taninthayi Region

  • In Longlone Township, the students and the public went around Nyinmaw village on Wednesday morning and expressed their desire for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • On Wednesday morning, Dawei General Strike, in cooperation with the public, marched against the military dictatorship, chanting “Only NUG is our government. Drive away the military watchdog”.
  • In rural community of Thayetchaung Township, young residents led a night strike against the military dictatorship on Tuesday.
  • In Longlone Township, Dawei General Strike Committee and anti-junta youth marched for official recognition of the NUG and for the end of the military dictatorship.
  • On Wednesday, a rally of youth in Longlone Township expressed their objection to the military watchdog.

Magwe Region

  • In Magwe Township, local people made a guerrilla protest in a village on Wednesday afternoon, chanting “Support NUG to remove the military dictatorship”.

Shan State

  • Lasho Wa Youth Network called on Wa National Party not to cooperate with the military junta and not to support any of their activities.

Kayin State

  • According to Kayin sources, there was a fighting between KNLA and BGF under the junta near Taiti village in Phapun District at about 1:30 pm Wednesday.

Kachin State

  • In Pha-Kant, a rally of multi-ethnics made a motorbike protest on Wednesday morning and expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.
  • In Pha-Kant Township, local residents of Lonekhine went around the village group on Wednesday morning and expressed their desire for the end of the military dictatorship.

Kayar State

  • In Loikaw, a loud explosion came out from the compound of township industrial farming office in Mailone Ward on Tuesday night. Reportedly, there was a fire at one of the offices.

Mon State

  • In Paung Township, the youth had been expressing their desire against the military dictatorship in various ways. On Wednesday, they made an anti-junta movement, “Let’s donate to PDFs for no more fallen stars”.

Summary on 11th August

  • Due to junta-pillars like administrators and Pyusawti, there were information leakages about revolution youth. In Yangon’s incident, the junta armed forces showed up at the exact address. They blocked off exits of the city for some hours and made inspections for arrest.
  • Despite violent crackdowns and arrests in Mandalay, various rallies still marched against the military dictatorship. They also resumed revolution activities.
  • As the military junta had been sending a large number of their soldiers to Kayin State, there might be battles in the days to come. As for Sagaing Region, public protests lost momentum to some extent.
