The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • On Thursday, the NUG released a statement welcoming the economic sanctions of the EU and the US on the military junta and related cronies.
  • In North Okkalapa Township of Yangon, the junta police and those in plain clothes sealed off the house where the Minister of Foreign Affairs-NUG used to live in Ga Ward on Thursday evening.
  • Under Ministry of Defence-NUG, Bago Regional PDF Battalion (3701) called for contributions to their project of 5,000 lakh MMK to raise the momentum of their military operation.
  • In Pulaw Township of Taninthayi Region, nearly 40 members of the junta armed forces died in local battles against PDFs from 3 to 8 November.

Revolution Activities

  • According to a spokesperson of the US Foreign Department, the US President and the US Foreign Minister will discuss with the ASEAN leaders about Myanmar in the ASEAN Summit and related meeting in Phnom Penh of Cambodia.
  • Without the representation for Myanmar, the ASEAN Summit and related meetings got started on Thursday.
  • General Strike Coordination Body called on the ASEAN to let go of their fruitless 5-Point Consensus and seek a different approach for Myanmar people.
  • Reportedly, the Bamar People's Liberation Army (BPLA) and the Students’ Armed Force will join hands in terms of military and political affairs.
  • Ma Su Yi Lin, Chair of Yangon Eastern University Students’ Union who had been sentenced to 3 years in prison under Section 505 (A), had to face two more charges.
  • In Wetlet Township of Sagaing Region, two members of Union Solidarity and Development Party were accused of being junta informers and killed. Regarding the cases, their family members reported to the Township Public’s Administration.
  • In Myinmu Township, there was a grenade attack on the junta army in charge of security at Myanmar’s Economic Bank on Friday morning. Reportedly, 5 junta soldiers died.
  • Kalay PDF Battalion (2) conducted a campaign for an AK gun and 10 bullet-proof vests worth 150 lakh MMK.
  • There was a parcel bomb explosion at Kawlin Township Court. Reportedly, the associate judge died.
  • In Monywa, there was a mine attack on a junta spy taking photos of the mines at 6:30 pm Thursday.
  • On Friday, a rally of Myathway People marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Kani Township, local people marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Friday, raising banners against Thein Soe, a local resident and Chair of the junta Election Commission.
  • On Friday, a combined rally of local villages from Salingyi and Yinmabin marched for the end of the military dictatorship.
  • As a 610-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East continued their march against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • On Thursday, a rally of Monywa General Strike Committee and Western Plain Strike conducted a night protest against the military dictatorship.
  • In Ye-U Township, junta helicopters fired ammunition and dropped a large number of junta soldiers in Memaunggone Village and Ywahtaung Village on Friday morning. Consequently, thousands of local people have had to run away.
  • In Ayadaw Township, the junta armed forces arrested two local people, Ko Pho La Pyay and Ko Sein Thant, as hostages on 7 November and shot them dead.
  • In Monywa, there was a grenade attack on junta soldiers who were drunk and had fallen asleep at the junta gate on Kyaukka Road. Reportedly, two of them died.
  • In Saw Township of Magwe Region, the junta army set fire to Letpan Village on Thursday afternoon and arrested 4 women. Reportedly, the women have been in danger for their lives.
  • According to lawyer sources, Mandalay Mayor Dr. Ye Lwin and MCDC member U Kyaw Zayya, who nearly finished their imprisonment, had to face another charge of the junta for the abuse of state property.
  • U Myo Thit, Mandalay Regional Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, was released from prison on Thursday.
  • In Chanmya Thazi Township of Mandalay Region, the military junta conducted an overnight guest list check in the compound of Myayi Nandar Housing on Thursday night and arrested about 30 people.
  • In Kyaiklatt of Ayeyarwaddy Region, U Myo Thu, allegedly a junta informer, was shot on Thursday night.
  • In Taungoo Township of Bago Region, local PDFs attacked the junta army which had raided Myar Village on 7 November. Reportedly, 7 junta soldiers died and 9 others were injured.
  • In Thayetchaung Township of Taninthayi Region, a convoy of 3 military trucks was attacked with mines on Friday morning. Reportedly, there were casualties among junta soldiers.
  • In Dawei Township, the father of a local PDF member and two other men had been arrested on the night of 8 November. Among them, a man named U Naw Me was released with wounds on Thursday morning.
  • Regarding the bomb explosion in Kachin State Government Office, the staff members of Bugar Electricity Company, who had been arrested for investigation, were released on Thursday.
  • In Ponnagyun Township of Rakhine State, the junta army opened fire in Dipayone Village on Friday morning. Consequently, a person died on the spot and another one lost their life on the way to hospital.
  • In Ponnagyun Township, the junta army killed 9 people in Hsin Ingyi Village, including an old woman, on Thursday. Reportedly, they also burnt some houses.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • According to Karenni National Defence Force- KNDF on Thursday, a soldier from the junta army Ka-Ma-Ya (4) under Regiment (66) defected to them together with weapons.
  • In Duplaya District under Karen National Union- KNU Brigade (6), the junta army conducted an air strike via MI-35 warplanes in the neighborhood of Baledo Village from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Thursday. Reportedly, the casualties and damages were still unknown.
  • In the north of Maungdaw Township in Rakhine State, Arakan Army- AA attacked the border camp in Yan Aung Myin Village on Thursday afternoon.
  • In Mindat Township of Chin State, there was a local battle and 2 junta soldiers died. According to local CDF, the junta army burnt some local people to death.

The Military Council

  • In the meeting on the junta election on Thursday, the second junta leader Soe Win said that there had been over a million national registration cards without full identity and thus, they had been carrying out activities for this to not happen again.
  • After a two-day meeting, the junta peace team and New Mon State Party signed agreements on Thursday.
  • The junta Ministry of Planning and Finance stated that the tax rate had been reduced up to 0% for the battery-run electric vehicles.
  • According to Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation, they had to reduce their power supply due to the leakage at the Yadanar off-shore gas pipeline.
  • The military junta announced that the junta commando unit managed to rescue a woman in Pakkoku of Magwe Region within a few hours after she had been arrested by PDFs.
  • On Thursday, the junta Union Supreme Court accepted the hearing for appeals related to State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi and President U Win Myint.
  • In the junta armed forces, there was an order for their members to increase their shares in the junta Myanmar’s Economic Holdings.
  • In Shwepyitha Township of Yangon Region, the junta township administrator and the junta military officer sold a public lake area in Ward (26) for 6,000 lakh MMK.

Summary on 11 November

  • With a great loss in battles, the military junta has been killing innocent and weaponless civilians for no apparent reason. In Ponnagyun Township of Rakhine State, they committed another war crime in a massacre including an old woman.
  • Without the junta’s representation, the ASEAN Summit and related meetings got started. Turning a blind eye to the ASEAN 5-Point Consensus, the military junta continues to carry out violent activities against the public. As for the ASEAN, they need more effective action against the dictators.
  • Even without the capacity to supply full electricity all over the country, the military junta granted tax exemption for the import of electric cars. It highlights their mismanagement.
