The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Ministry of Education-NUG published the guidelines of basic education Math exams for the 2023 academic year.
  • According to the NUG, prizes of the Spring Lottery will be 100 lakh MMK, 15 lakh MMK, 5 lakh MMK and 1 lakh MMK respectively. And it can be bought via NUG Pay 24/7.
  • On Saturday, Ministry of Labour-NUG announced that they had blacklisted and dismissed 70 non-CDM staff from Myanmar Railway Department under the Ministry of Transportation for their oppression of CDM supporters.
  • At 7:00 pm Friday, there was an online meeting between the Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw-CRPH and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs-NUG.
  • Ministry of Home Affairs under Karenni State Government announced that the road between Loikaw and Mawchi would be opened only for 3 days a week: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. They also published the 7 rules for the general public to follow.

Revolution Activities

  • On Sunday, Mandalay Monks’ Union led an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • On Sunday, a rally of anti-junta monks conducted a movement against the military dictatorship, calling for everyone’s participation in the revolution.
  • In Myingyan of Mandalay Region, a junta captain and a junta soldier were shot dead while they were riding a motorbike. According to NYSGF, a pistol was confiscated.
  • On Sunday, Mandalay people protested against the military dictatorship, chanting slogans- “Only the NUG is the public’s government. Only U Kyaw Moe Tun is the public’s UN Ambassador.”
  • In Myingyan, 3 Pyusawti members were shot on their way back from a clinic. Reportedly, two of them died.
  • Bone Pyay Maung, a policeman from Bago Regional Police Office, shot himself dead accidentally.
  • According to Young Force (UG), local PDFs managed to rescue 5 political prisoners who had run away from Pakkoku District Jail in Magwe Region.
  • In Saw, 6 people; 3 men aged over 60, two women and a young girl aged 13, died with gun wounds in a house in Zayya Ward on 21 August. According to the spokesperson of the YDF, they finished the investigation for the case.
  • In Khin-U Township of Sagaing Region, local people marched for the recognition to the NUG and for the United Nations to keep U Kyaw Moe Tun as Myanmar’s Ambassador.
  • In Butalin Township, two soldiers from the junta army in Kutaw Police Station, together with two guns, joined a local PDF on 5 September.
  • In the east of Dibeyin Township, a rally of villagers, protected by PDF members, marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • In Indaw Township, 3 junta soldiers, who had run away from their station in Nabar Village Monastery, were caught on the Indaw-Htigyaint road section.
  • In Mawlamyein Township of Mon State, there was an attack on the junta police camp near Kyonedone Village Cement Factory. According to local PDF, two junta police members died whereas women and children were released.
  • In Dawei Township and Thayetchaung Township of Taninthayi Region, two villagers were hit with bullets due to the gunfire of the junta army on Friday and Saturday.
  • In Pathein Township of Ayeyarwaddy Region, a mental patient informed the military junta that PDF members had arrived at Shwebya Village. Reportedly, the junta armed forces have been combing the area.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Karenni State, 3 soldiers from the junta army Ka-La-Ya (11), together with weapons, joined the Karenni Army-KA.
  • In Mobye on the border of Shan and Karenni, another 15 junta soldiers died in the battle on Saturday. Reportedly, nearly 60 members of the junta armed forces perished from 8 to 10 September and their weapons were confiscated.
  • In Mobye, an alliance of local PDFs and EAOs attacked the junta army trying to gain a foothold in the area.
  • In Maungdaw Township of Rakhine State, the Arakan Army-AA took control of another camp of the junta army.

The Military Council

  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing admitted that the junta army had a great loss in battles throughout the country.
  • The junta leader claimed that there were a large number of casualties among junta soldiers because of poor qualifications of troop leaders.
  • Bangladesh Ministry of Home Affairs warned the military junta not to make fire ammunition and not to let their bullets fall in their territory.
  • In Amarapura Township of Mandalay Region, the dead bodies of 3 men were found with their throats slit on the Mandalay-Sagaing Road on Sunday morning.
  • According to a meeting (3/2022) of Mon state Investment Committee, 27 local and foreign investments were granted in the area, creating 3422 job opportunities.
  • Dr. Tun Min, the junta health officer of Yangon Region, said that 30 million local people aged over 18 had been vaccinated for COVID-19, with the coverage making up 96%.

Summary on 11 September

  • There was a confidential letter from the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing saying that the junta armed forces had a great loss and they were disorganized. Moreover, the whole troop contingent invading Kayin State have been protesting. There were also many cases in which many soldiers joined the CDM and some others were caught. There might soon be rebellion among the junta armed forces.
  • With powerful revolution, PDFs and EAOs won nearly every battle. As for the junta army, they just had to rely on mortars and air strikes. Without much support for them, there will soon be liberated areas.
