The National Unity Government (NUG)

· On Saturday, there was a meeting (12/2023) between Ministry of Judiciary Affairs-NUG and the judges from the courts on the ground.

· According to Ministry of Defence-NUG, there were mine attacks on junta troops and convoys for three days.

Revolution Activities

· On Monday, former political prisoners, strike committees, People’s Defence Forces (PDFs) and the public conducted a campaign named ‘Iron-cutting Saw’ to show their support for the political prisoners on hunger strike in Monywa Prison.

· In Wetlet Township of Sagaing Region, there was a bomb attack via drone on junta soldiers on secret patrol near Paukkan Station. Reportedly, 7 junta soldiers died.

· At about 8:00 am on 4 September, there were exchanges of fire between the junta army invading Shwebo Bypass and the PDF.

· In Butalin, there were bomb attacks via drone on the junta armed forces on 8 and 9 September. Reportedly, there were casualties among junta soldiers.

· According to the focal person of Brave Heart Army (BHA), the junta army had a great loss in an attack on a military vessel on Chindwin River.

· Taze Township General Strike led a march against the military dictatorship.

· In Taungoo Township of Bago Region, a combined force of PDFs attacked the junta camp of Seik Phoo Taung. Reportedly, 15 junta soldiers died.

· In Myingyan Township and Thabaitgyin Township of Mandalay Region, the two local chairs of Union Solidarity and Development Party were killed.

· According to the report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) on 8 September, the number of internally displaced people in Myanmar has reached up to 1.9 million since the military coup.

· In Myaing Township of Magwe Region, the junta army raided Kangyiyoe Village. Reportedly, a leader of local PDF was killed and 8 people were arrested.

· The comrades of Black Leopard Column based in Myaing Township of Magwe Region have been growing paddy for their rations.

· With the photo of the revolution forces fighting the military junta in Kayin State, Siegfried Modola, an Italian national and British photographer, received Visa d’or Award, a top prize for a news photo.

· In Gyobinkauk Township of Bago Region, there was an attack via mortars on junta troops on secret patrol. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers died.

· On Monday, Myanmar Political Prisoners’ Network conducted ‘Iron-Cutting Saw’ Campaign.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· In Luthaw Township of Kawthoolei Administrative Area under Karen National Union Brigade (5), the junta army conducted air strikes via fighter jet on local villages three times.

· In Shweku Battlefield of Bamaw District on the border of Sagaing Region and Kachin State, 3 soldiers from the junta army regiment (88) defected to Kachin Independence Army and joined the CDM.

The Military Council

· In Tamu Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army invading the local area killed two people including one suffering from a stroke. They also destroyed public property and took away valuable things.

· The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing criticized that the administration and economy had been weak and the unity had collapsed during the tenure of the National League for Democracy Government.

· In an interview with RIA Media based in Russia, the junta Ministry of Industry stated that Myanmar had received two SU-30 fighter jets made in Russia in the first consignment.

· The junta Minister of Industry stated that Russia and Myanmar would sign agreements related to tourism during the East Economy Forum.

· According to the Public Health Department under the junta Ministry of Health, international tourists must enter Myanmar only after showing that they have purchased health insurance.

· According to the junta Transportation Department, they would triple the registration fees for the vehicles to be licensed at the junta vehicle registration department.

Summary on 12 September

· Turning a blind eye to the fact that Myanmar has become a failed state only after the coup, the junta leader told his armed forces shamelessly that the administration and economy had been weak during the NLD Government.

· The revolution forces have become more powerful. No matter what, they still need public support to raise the military momentum.
