The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • On 10 July, there was a meeting between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public’s Administration and the Mon State Consultative Council (MSCC). There, the NUG Union Prime Minister called for a united effort under the common goals of the revolution.
  • At 1:00 pm on 11 July, there was a second meeting between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public’s Administration and Committee Representing the Ayeyarwaddy Regional Hluttaw.

Revolutionary Forces

  • In Dibeyin Township in Sagaing Region, the junta army set fire to three houses and barns in Ohndabin Village at about 7:00 am on Tuesday.
  • In Kyunghla, seven Pyu Saw Htee members including the administrator of Pyinmamyein Ward robbed Ko Min Min and killed him on 17 July. The victim was a rice-mill owner as well as a cousin of Captain Nyan Lin Aung. Reportedly, those who had committed the murder were arrested by the junta armed forces.
  • In Myinmu Township, a PDF conducted bomb attacks using drone at Tawchaung-U Police Station at about 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Reportedly, four members of the junta police died.
  • In Shwebo Township, a rally from Shwe Kun Myay marched against the military dictatorship on Tuesday.
  • On Tuesday, a rally of villagers from Salingyi and Yinmabin marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • On Tuesday morning, there was an attack on junta soldiers patroling on the Monywa to Chaung Oo road section. Reportedly, four of them died.
  • On their 488th day of protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Tuesday.
  • In Chaung-U Township, there was a mine explosion on the Monywa to Mandalay Road near Khin Mon Village on Monday evening. Reportedly, a passenger express car was hit, 13 people got injured and one of them died. In the early morning, a military convoy was attacked with mines twice on the same road. Reportedly, nine junta soldiers died.
  • In Kalay, Ko Sein Linn, allegedly a criminal journalist, and his wife were shot dead at a tea shop on Monday at noon.
  • In Tamu District, Central Intelligence Agency Tamu was established for gathering and sharing information related to revolutionary activities in the local area.
  • In Mawlight Township, there were two battles between the junta army and a local PDF near Pantha Village at 12:00 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday. Reportedly, there were many casualties among junta soldiers.
  • In the Mandalay Region, a policeman from Mahlaing Police Station rescued Ma Pyay Thandar Aung being held in detention under the anti-terrorism law and joined the CDM on Sunday.
  • In Myittha Township, a monk was shot dead on Monday night while he was collecting electricity bills for the junta.
  • In Tanintharyi Township of Tanintharyi Region, an alleged junta informer was shot dead by a local PDF in Theinnaw Village at 9:00 a.m. Monday.
  • In Yebyu Township, youths from the Nabule Area went to the pagodas on Waso full moon day and protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Seikphyu Township in Magwe Region, there was fighting near Paing Village. There, two women were arrested. Reportedly, one of them managed to run away whereas the other was killed and she might also have been raped.
  • In Karenni State, a local PDF conducted an ambush on two junta army ration cars on their way to Demoso Police Station on Monday morning. Reportedly, three junta soldiers died.
  • In Pindaya in Shan south, there was gunfire at the old police station in town on Tuesday evening.
  • On Tuesday, there were bomb explosions near Aungmingala Road in Tamway Township, near Dagon Center in Sanchaung Township and Park (5) in Hlaingthaya Township in Yangon. Reportedly, there were casualties.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • In Phalan Township in Chin State, an ongoing battle entered its third day. According to Chin National Army (CNA), 35 members of the junta armed forces died.
  • In Kyaukgyi and Mone townships of Nyaunglebin District under Karen National Union (KNU) Brigade (3), there have been more clashes in the area. Consequently, the number of IDPs has been on the rise and they have been in need of food and medicines.
  • In Myawaddy Township in Kayin State, the KNDO expressed thanks for the public’s contribution to their VENOM troop that allowed it to buy a sniper gun, an M4 gun and bullets.

The Military Council

  • According to Russian media, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing was in Moscow in Russia on Tuesday and he will meet with the leader of the Russian Space Agency during the trip.
  • On 22 July there will be a verdict on the Myanmar junta's objection to the ICJ, which claims the ICJ does not have the right to take legal action against Myanmar. It has been reported that the junta delegation team will attend the verdict.
  • On 25 July, there will be a final hearing in court for the four charges against Daw Aung San Su Kyi in regards to the Daw Khin Kyi Foundation.
  • At an event on World Population Day 2022 on Monday, the second junta leader said that the elderly, the disabled and vulnerable groups must still be shielded and protected as there is still a COVID-19 pandemic.
  • On Monday night, the junta Ministry of Health announced that a person had tested positive for the COVID-19 BA. 4 variant and that five others had tested positive for the BA.5 variant in Myanmar.
  • At a meeting the junta Investment Commission permitted 19 new investments including 5 solar power projects in Myanmar.

Summary on 13 July

  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing and his team were in Moscow in Russia expecting to meet with the Russian President, Putin.They seem to be looking for some escape from contemplating all their losses.
  • The junta Pyu Saw Htee members have committed crimes even in towns. They targeted the public including relatives of military officers. It was only then that the military junta started taking legal action against Pyu Saw Htee members.
