The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • On Sunday, the NUG Ministry of Defence sent congratulatory statements to the soldiers and police who had joined the public, saying that the downfall was not far for of the military junta which kills people and burns villages is not far away.
  • The NUG Ministry of Education published information related to basic education exams and sample question papers.
  • On Sunday, the NUG Ministry of Defence held an event in honor of 17 soldiers and policemen who had left the junta armed forces and moved to serve the PDF.
  • To equip their force with arms, the Western PDF Brigade (7) has been conducting a fund-raising lucky draw.
  • In Sagaing Region, Monywa Township Public Administration Team announced on Sunday that its junta staff are going to join the public as soon as possible.
  • Shwebo Township Public Administration Team announced that non-CDM staff should join the CDM as soon as possible.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Monywa Township in Sagaing Region, two members of the junta police were shot dead by PDF members on Monday morning.
  • In the town of Minkin, there was an attack with a variety of mines on the Myanmar Economic Bank, where the junta armed forces had been taking security measures, at about 5:00 am on Monday.
  • On the Monywa to Mandalay road section, the junta army was attacked with mines on their way to a mine-clearance operation. Reportedly, there were many casualties.
  • In Sagaing Township, there was a bomb attack using a drone on members of the junta armed forces in the compound of Nyaungbinwun Police Station on Saturday. Reportedly, they were injured in the incident.
  • In Katha Township, local people marched to express their desire for the United Nations to keep U Kyaw Moe Tun as Myanmar’s Ambassador.
  • On Monday, the Kalay General Strike, protected by PDF members, marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Khin-U Township, a rally of villagers marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Monday, chanting ‘The NUG is our government’.
  • Reportedly, a sergeant from the junta army in Tigyit in Shan South joined a local PDF in Yinmabin Township in Sagaing Region.
  • According to local people in Ayadaw Township, they have been facing difficulties with the interim education program.
  • In Sagaing Region and Mandalay Region, local PDFs announced that gambling events were to be closed down as quickly as possible.
  • In Wundwin Township in Mandalay Region, allegedly a Pyu Saw Htee member was shot dead in Tesu Village on Monday morning.
  • At about 9:00 am on Monday, junta troops were attacked with mines on their way to take the dead body of a Pyu Saw Htee member to Wundwin Township.
  • In Mandalay, the so-called Thwethaught Group killed four youths during the junta’s interrogation and discarded their bodies.
  • In Dagaung Township, the junta army was attacked with mines on Sunday afternoon. Reportedly, two junta soldiers died.
  • On Monday, the Mandalay General Strike apologised to the people in the ward where they had conducted an anti-junta protest for the violent activities of the junta army in the vicinity.
  • On Monday, a rally of monks led an anti-junta movement.
  • In Shwepyitha Township in Yangon Region, there was a grenade attack at the junta army stationed in the hall in Ward (5) at 6:35 pm on Sunday.
  • In Seesaing Township in Shan South, a combined force of PDFs attacked and took control of two junta army camps in the Naungtaw Area on Monday.
  • In Mobye, there were heavy battles between the junta armed forces and local PDFs. Reportedly, the Pann Sine Campaign was conducted to raise fund for Mobye PDF.
  • In Mobye, two PDF members lost lives in the battle against the junta armed forces. Reportedly, their funerals were carried out on Monday morning.
  • In Hpakant Township in Kachin State, local people expressed their support for the UN Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun as well as for the KIA, PDF and NUG. They also protested against the military dictatorship.
  • The End of Dictatorship called on the public to buy the land of Spring Yangon Investment quickly as there are only 20 pieces left.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • In Mobye on the border of Shan and Karenni states, over 20 junta soldiers died in the battle on Sunday, according to Karenni National Defence Force (KNDF).
  • In the area under Karen National Union (KNU) Brigade 6, there was a rally of local people for Myanmar’s Ambassador to the United Nations, U Kyaw Moe Tun and against the military dictatorship on Monday.
  • In Laykaykaw Myothit, there was fighting between a combined force of the KNLA and the junta army on Sunday night. Reportedly, junta soldiers fired mortars the following morning.
  • In Maungdaw Township in Rakhine State, the Arakan Army (AA) took control of the junta army camp KaMaYa 352. On Sunday, they published a video showing the military items confiscated from junta soldiers.
  • On 19 September, the 5th press conference of the ULA/ AA will be held.
  • In Matupi Township in Chin State, a local CDF arrested three men, allegedly junta reporters, for investigating in the first week of September.
  • According to the Zomi Federal Union (PDF Zoland), they managed to produce bullets.
  • On the way out of Loikaw, there was fighting near Kayan Thaya Junction. On Monday, KNDF Brigade 2 announced that the public were not to use the roads in the area.
  • According to PKPF on Monday, no less than 100 houses were damaged in Mobye due to the mortars fired by junta soldiers in local battles.

The Military Council

  • The junta media falsely made out that the public had welcomed the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing on his way back from his Russian trip on Sunday.
  • In the meeting with the Pantanaw community, Man Nyein Mg, a member of the military junta, said that the government elected in the upcoming election would be a clean and fair one.
  • In an interview with a local media outlet, the junta propaganda leader Zaw Min Tun said that more imported fuel oil from Russia would arrive.
  • According to the Southern Monitor, the junta armed forces have killed 224 civilians in Tanintharyi Region since the coup in February 2021.
  • In Zabyu Thiri Township in Naypyitaw, junta soldiers shot dead a man aged 30 in Thabyaegone Ward at about 6:00 pm on Sunday.
  • In some townships of Tanintharyi Region, the junta inspection gates have been prohibiting the transport of basic food items.
  • On the Dawei to Thayetchaung road section, the junta army shot dead a motorcyclist at close range near the junta inspection gate of Oattu Village Bridge at about 4:00 pm on Sunday.
