The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • On International Youth Day, the Acting President of the NUG honored young people saying that their sacrifice, innovation and determination in the Spring Revolution would leave an indelible great history for the future of federal democracy.
  • On the 73rd anniversary of the Karen National Martyrs’ Day, the NUG sent a statement that all the ethnic groups including the Karen became more united while fighting the military junta and their common goal for the end of the military dictatorship, along with the establishment of a union with federal democracy, was just at hand.
  • According to the Military Headquarters under Ministry of Defence- NUG, the PDFs managed to clear the mines set by the junta army on the road section near Ngar Shan Village in Chaung-U Township of Sagaing Region on the morning of 10 August.
  • On Saturday afternoon, the Immigration Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration- NUG conducted a meeting of the Central Committee on issuing birth certificates to children born abroad whose parents are both Myanmar citizens abroad.
  • In Saw Township of Magwe Region, the health supervisor and medical team of a local PDF provided healthcare services to the displaced people.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Insein Township of Yangon Region, there was a bomb attack on the Fuse football pitch in the compound of the General Administration Department Housing on Friday morning. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers were seriously injured.
  • As a 874-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi and Yinmabin in Sagaing Region marched against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • According to the focal person of Salingyi Special Task Force, they conducted bomb attacks via drones on Kani Township Police Station, the junta General Administration Office and Alegyun Village of Pyusawti members. Reportedly, 8 junta members were injured.
  • In Kalay Township, there were bomb attacks on tanks of aviation oil and the junta army stationed in Kalay Airport at about 4:00 pm Friday. Reportedly, about 15 junta soldiers might have been injured in the incident.
  • In Monywa, One Star PDF carried out an attack via mortars on the Kyauksitgone junta army unit on the afternoon of 8 August. Reportedly, 7 junta soldiers died.
  • In Chaung-U Township, there was an attack via sniper on the junta soldiers on their way for a secret patrol on Friday morning. Reportedly, a junta soldier died.
  • In Butalin Township, the junta army set fire to the market stalls in Thakut Village on Saturday and Sunday.
  • In Thabaitgyin Township of Mandalay Region, there was a mine attack on two army trucks on their way out from Kyar Nyut Gate near Shwe Sagar Village on Sunday morning. Reportedly, 4 junta soldiers died.
  • In Madayar Township, the Chair of a social group was shot dead in Kyauktadar Village on Saturday morning.
  • In Dike-Oo Township of Bago Region, a MyTel telecom tower was blown up at about 9:00 pm Saturday. Reportedly, there was also a mine attack on the junta army on their way for inspection. Consequently, a military car got damaged.
  • In Latbadan Township, Bo Kyin (alias) Kyin Htwe, a former policeman and junta informer, was shot dead on Saturday morning.
  • In Pyinmanar Township of Naypyi Taw, the revolution forces attacked Boma Thantaung junta army camp on 10 August. Reportedly, 8 junta soldiers including an officer from Ka-Ma-Ya (411) died.
  • In Paung Township of Mon State, Tun Naing Linn, a policeman from Zin Kyaik Police Station, was shot dead on Saturday evening.
  • In Phapun Township of Kayin State, there were mine explosions at the four vacant government offices, the staff quarter of general administration and the house of a local immigration officer on Friday night.
  • On Sunday, Royal Peacock Column and alliance shared rations with the people who had to run away from the indefinite shooting of heavy artillery by the junta army.
  • The fund-raising campaign got started to equip White Tiger Column (3) with arms.
  • In Chonburi province of Thailand, there was a football match on Sunday to raise funds for supporting the PDFs in Myanmar.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

  • In Phapun Township under Karen National Union Brigade (5) in Kayin State, there were simultaneous explosive attacks at no less than 5 junta government offices on Friday night. Reportedly, no one got injured as all the junta staff had run away.
  • In Chin State, a combined force of CNA and CDF attacked the junta army Ka-La-Ya 268 based in Falam on Saturday morning. Reportedly, 6 junta soldiers died and weapons were confiscated.
  • In Hpa-Kant Township of Kachin State, Kachin Independence Army attacked and took control of the two camps belonging to the Shanni National Army under the junta army. Afterwards, there was intense military tension between them again.
  • In Fruso Township of Karenni State, a member of the Karenni Nationalities Defence Force lost their life in Kadalar Battle against the junta army.

The Military Council

  • In the opening ceremony of the Thabaung Paper Factory on Saturday morning, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing claimed that they were making an effort to reopen factories where production has been suspended.
  • On Saturday morning, the new junta Minister of Defence left for Russia to attend the International Forum on Military Technology and International Conference on Security.
  • The junta Chair of the Central Bank said that they would do online trading for gold and review payments along with the prices in order to identify those monopolizing the gold prices.
  • Under the arrangement of the junta national committee on natural disaster risks management, 200,000 bags of rice were bought in May. Reportedly, another 500,000 bags were purchased in August.
  • The junta propaganda team announced that armed groups had fired into Yamanay Village of Kantbalu Township in Sagaing Region on Saturday morning. Consequently, 6 people including 2 children lost their lives whereas 3 others got injured.
