The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The NUG Union Prime Minister issued a statement to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the deaths of Yangon Industrial University students; Ko Phone Maw and Ko Soe Naing.
  • At 10:00 am on Sunday, there was a meeting between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and the Township People’s Administration from Tanintharyi, Ayeyarwady and Bago regions.
  • According to the Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw, their Chair U Aung Kyi Nyunt met with representatives of the US Government and organisations that play a vital role in Myanmar’s democratic movement, from 7 to 9 March.
  • In New York in the United States, the movie’ Rays of Hope’ by Director Ko Pauk was shown. Reportedly U Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the UN, attended.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Monywa in Sagaing Region, the General Strike protested against the military dictatorship on Kyaukkar Road on Monday.
  • On Monday morning, a rally from Yin Mar Bin North marched against the military dictatorship.
  • On Monday, a combined rally from Salingyi and Yin Mar Bin marched to call for sanctions on Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise (MOGE), the main income source of the military junta.
  • In Monywa, there was an attack on a junta army on patrol at the GTC at about 11:00 am on Monday. Reportedly, five junta soldiers died.
  • In Chaung-U Township, there was a mine attack on the junta army in Ngar Shan Village at about 11:00 am on Monday. Reportedly, two junta soldiers died.
  • In Kathar Township, there was a mine attack on a junta convoy of 46 military trucks on the Kathar-Nabar Road Section at about 8:00 am on Sunday. Reportedly, 10 junta soldiers died and two military trucks were damaged.
  • In Salingyi Township, the junta armed forces have invaded eight villages. Consequently, thousands of local people have had flee.
  • In Yangon Region, anti-junta youths conducted an event at Tontay Bridge on Monday in memory of the second anniversary of the violent crackdown on the local strike.
  • In Taungtha Township in Mandalay Region, junta soldiers stationed at the sub-power station in Natsaunt Village were fired on at about 5:00 pm on Sunday.
  • In the northern part of Pauk Township in Magway Region, the junta armed forces have been invading the area. Reportedly, over 7,000 local people from 12 villages have had to run away.
  • In Shwekyin Township in Bago Region, a junta sergeant, who had been notorious for demanding money at the jetty in Nyaung Chay Tauk Village, was shot dead at about 12:00 pm on Sunday.
  • In Pyi, there was a bomb explosion at the junta’s security office on Sunday evening. Reportedly, four junta soldiers died and six others were injured.
  • In Hpakant Township in Kachin State, the second officer of the local immigration department was shot dead at staff housing in Hmaw Hwam Ward at about 1:00 pm on Sunday.
  • In Demoso Township in Karenni State, the junta army has been carrying out invasion since 10 March. Consequently, more than 10,000 people have had to run away.
  • Via the NUG Pay, the 7th For Our People Campaign will provide assistance to Karenni State where heavy fighting is ongoing.
  • In Frankfurt of Germany, there was a fund-raising sale for the Revolution on Sunday, along with a showing of the movie’ Rays of Hope’ by Director Ko Pauk.
  • In Bangkok of Thailand, the UG Family made a collection for the Spring Revolution on Sunday. Reportedly, they got 34,515 Baht.
  • In Thailand, the movie- ‘Share the merits only after Freedom’ was shown and more than 1,000 people watched it on Sunday.
  • In Daegu in South Korea, a large audience watched the revolutionary movie directed by Sein Thee and Aung Thaw.
  • In Malaysia, the 22222 Support Team made a collection for the CDM staff and NUG schools on Sunday. Reportedly, they got 40 lakh MMK.
  • In Kuala Lumpur, Dawkalu Network Kawthoolei and the NLD (OC) International Malaysia jointly showed the revolutionary movie- ‘Rays of Hope’ by Director Ko Pauk at the Chinese Assembly Hall on Sunday. Reportedly, a large number of people from the Myanmar community came to see it.
  • Justice for Myanmar (JFM) expressed its objection to the invitation of Myo Swe, the Director General of the junta Communication Department, to attend the 76th Conference of the ICANN in Mexico from 11 to 16 March.
  • Human Rights Watch (HRW) called on the United Nations Security Council to take serious action against Myanmar Army which has continued its violence without implementing any of the United Nation’s Resolution.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • In Chin State, CDF Zoland attacked the junta army stationed at Titain General Hospital on Sunday night. Reportedly, the junta soldiers ran away and their weapons were confiscated.
  • In Pinlaung Township in Shan South, the junta armed forces arrested and killed three monks and 30 people in the monastery compound of Namt Naing Village.
  • According to the Karenni Nationalities’ Defence Force (KNDF), 28 dead bodies, including those of the three monks, were found in Namt Naing Village on Saturday. Reportedly, they were IDPs and monks who had been murdered by the junta army in Namt Naing Village on Saturday.
  • In local battles for nearly three weeks in Pinlong Township, the junta army and the Pa-O National Organization (PNO) under the military junta suffered great losses.
  • In Kanpetlet Township in Chin State, local CDFs attacked the junta army camp in the town of Kyindway. Reportedly, five junta soldiers died and many others were injured.

The Military Council

  • General Zaw Min Tun, the junta propaganda leader made a statement about the massacre in Namt Naing Village in Pinlaung Township in Shan South on 11 March, in which three monks and 27 local people were killed. He also claimed that they would take serious action against the KNPP/KNDF.
  • Junta Telegram channels had statements and accompanying photographs that said the junta army had arrested and killed three monks and local people in the monastery compound of Namt Naing Village because they were members of Kayah PDFs.
  • On Sunday, the junta Minister of Electricity said that the Gwa Wind turbine Power Project, the very first one in Myanmar, must produce power as soon as possible.
  • According to the junta Ministry of Trade and Commerce, trade with foreign countries was worth over 31 billion USD in the first 11 months of 2022-23 fiscal year.
  • According to the junta Myanmar Rice Federation, over 2 million tons of rice and broken rice were exported in the first 11 months of 2022-23 fiscal year, earning over 780 million USD.
  • According to the secretary of the junta Yangon YRTC bus service, some buses will suspend their services during the water festival.

Summary on 14 March

  • The junta army has committed genocide by ruthlessly killing IDPs and the monks taking refuge in a monastery compound. To cover up their crimes, they have been planning to create racial conflict.
  • To support the revolution against the military dictatorship, there were both local and international campaigns to raise funds.
