The Military Council

  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that the Maya Vizaya Buddha Image was set up in Nay Pyi Taw to show the world the glory of Buddhism flourishing in Myanmar and to make the country peaceful.
  • According to the junta newspaper, there was a discussion with Russia to promote cooperation in military affairs and provide warfare weapons.
  • According to the junta newspaper, the second junta leader Soe Win took part in a discussion at the ASEAN Army Leaders meeting under the theme - ‘The role of ASEAN Armies in Rehabilitation in the Post COVID-19 Period’.
  • The junta Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture organized a coordination meeting for shooting and broadcasting traditional performances on the verge of disappearance.
  • According to the junta media, the junta Ministry joined the Japan-ASEAN Transportation Ministerial Meeting on promotion of electric vehicles and enhancement of public transportation instead of owning vehicles.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The NUG blacklisted and dismissed 20 staff members from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, including the director general and assistant directors, who put pressure on CDM staff and carried out various forms of oppression.
  • U Aung Myo Min, Minister of Human Rights-NUG, met with French mayors and counselors. He said that activities for human rights in Myanmar would be found in the movement on human rights day in Paris, France, where the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted.
  • At a Peace Forum in Paris, U Aung Myo Min, Minister of Human Rights-NUG, gave a speech on the theme - Expanding civic space: A key to building back better after Covid-19”.

Revolution Activities

  • A spokesperson of the US Foreign Ministry said that it was an act of injustice in the case of the American journalist and newsroom editor of Frontier Myanmar being sentenced to 11 years in prison by a junta court.
  • The UN Human Rights Officer called for immediate release of all journalists in detention by the military junta, including American journalist Danny Fenster.
  • In Paletwa Township of Chin State, there were battles between the junta armed forces and local CDFs on 9th and 10th November. Reportedly, 11 junta soldiers died.
  • Due to battles in Chin State, there was no demand or supply for Wa-U or elephant foot yam, one of the main crops of the state.
  • As a 279-day protest, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • As a 248-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • In a village of Shwebo Township, there was a march against the military dictatorship on Saturday morning.
  • In Kanbalu Township of Sagaing Region, two residents of Sudet village, allegedly Pyusawti members, were shot dead by Kanbalu Underground Warriors (KBU-UG) and their alliance, which also carried bombed a township irrigation office as a warning.
  • In the west of Kawlin Township, the dead bodies of 7 people who had been ruthlessly killed by the junta army were found, including those of 15-year-old boys named Mg Kaung Zaw Nyein and Mg Hein Kant Paing.
  • According to a focal person of Myaung Township Special Defence Force, they managed to produce powerful explosives by themselves.
  • In Myaung Township, an alliance of defence forces demolished a MyTel telecom tower in Paraima village at about 5:00 pm Friday.
  • On Monywa-Amyint road, police members in an ordinary car were attacked with mines near Nyaungphyubin village. According to Monywa Lightening PDF, a police officer in charge of the station died.
  • In Pha-Kant Township of Kachin State, hundreds of local people marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • In Thayetchaung Township of Taninthayi Region, Ko Htike, allegedly a Pyusawti member in Kya-In village, was killed on Friday night.
  • According to local residents, Ma Myat Su Mon, a first-year student of Oriental Study at Dawei University, was unjustly arrested by the junta army at 10:00 pm Friday while she was in her aunt’s house.
  • In Kawhmu Township of Yangon Region, two military cars on patrol were attacked by a PDF on Saturday. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers were seriously injured.
  • In Shwepyitha Township, there was an awareness-raising campaign on democracy education on Saturday morning.
  • In Poatba Thiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw, the junta army arrested Ko Min Min Soe from Thayettamai village, accusing him of having contact with PDFs last week. As he has not been in touch, his family are worried.
  • In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, a combined force of PDFs attacked Pakannge police station at about 1:00 pm Saturday and there were exchanges of fire for half an hour. Reportedly, police members were injured and ran away.
  • On Saturday, Mandalay Monks’ Union led an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • In Mandalay Industry (1) and (2), the military junta have been asking for money from some business owners.
  • In Natoegyi Township, the junta army arrested 7 villagers of Latwe Myinni and sealed off 5 houses in relation to them.
  • In Chaungsone Township of Mon State, there was a bomb explosion at the NLD office in front of town police station on Friday night.
  • In Pyi District, the junta army arrested a CDM teacher together with her 18-month old son.
  • According to a guerrilla force in Bago, they carried out bomb explosions at a power sub-station and an administration office on Friday evening. Reportedly, 4 staff members were injured.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • According to the Kokang media on Saturday, a convoy of 18 military trucks with soldiers and weapons entered the middle part of Kokang area and there was fighting between them and the MNDAA.

Summary on 13th November

  • The military junta has been spreading false news. On the other hand, they have been oppressing media people with long-term imprisonment unlawfully. The army have never realized the nature of media and just regarded it as their enemy. The current military junta is no exception.
  • In Sagaing Region, there were heavy battles. Local PDFs were able to take control of police camps in Yesagyo area of Magwe Region.
  • As for Sagaing, it had public protests as well as revolution activities and junta-informer clearance operations. In Magwe, Mandalay, Yangon, Dawei and Mon, there were just a few protests and activities of guerrilla revolution.
