Yangon Region

· As the rate of COVID-19 infection is on the rise again in Myanmar, the military junta has been putting pressure on charitable organizations to cooperate with them.

· To show the operation of the administration after the coup, the military junta reopened vehicle registration office in Yangon. Reportedly, they have closed it again.

· On Wednesday morning, a rally of women named “Pantra Queens” expressed their desire for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Anawrata road in downtown area of Yangon.

Mandalay Region

· On Tuesday night, Mandalay Monks’ Union recited Parittas for the public.

· Amidst tight security measures by the junta armed forces in Pyigyi Dagun Township, Pyi/Gun rally managed to conduct their night strike for the end of the military dictatorship on Tuesday.

· Despite violent crackdowns on protests by the junta armed forces in Mandalay, a rally of a variety forces with strong determination made a protest against the military dictatorship on Tuesday night.

· On Wednesday morning, a rally of Aungmye Thazan Schools marched to uproot the Army of Fascism.

· Despite a crackdown on a dawn strike by the junta armed forces by car, a Mandalay-based rally took to the streets again on Wednesday afternoon and expressed their desire for the end of the military dictatorship.

· In Myitnge, Daw Thet Thet Cho, administrator of Ward (12), and her team were shot on Wednesday morning. In the incident, Daw Thet Thet Cho died with an open wound in the back of her head. Reportedly, another three members were also injured by gunshots.

· On Wednesday, a rally led by Mandalay Gems Traders marched up to Kywesekan road and protested against the military dictatorship.

· To mark their 156-day protest, a rally of Mandalay Monks’ Union expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship on Wednesday afternoon.

· In Chanmya Thazi Township, there was a bomb explosion in the compound of city development committee in Myothit Ward (1) at about 6:25 am Wednesday. According to local residents, an oil boxer van was set on fire in the incident.

· As the military junta couldn’t arrest U Soe Htay, a leader of protests in Moegoke, they arrested his wife and daughter. Reportedly, those family members were sentenced to three years in prison.

· According to local residents of Mandalay, there is a mob of armed robbers on the corner of (67) street and (102-A) street. They have stolen motorbikes and money three times.

Sagaing Region

· In Myaung Township, U Win Naing, former USDP MP in 2010, and his follower were shot dead in Pannyo village on Wednesday afternoon.

· In Salingyi Township, Latbadaung Taung General Strike expressed their objection to the military dictatorship on Wednesday.

· To mark their 126-day protest, a rally comprising various villages from Salingyi North and Yinmabin East expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship on Wednesday.

· In Dibeyin Township, local residents made a protest on Tuesday by banging pots and pans to drive away junta devils.

· Wuntho PDF announced on Wednesday that they would fight against the military junta and their followers who have been doing harm to the public.

· On Wednesday, Kalay townspeople marched against the military dictatorship, raising the flag of the NUG.

Magwe Region

· In Myaing Township, Basic Education General Strike Committee, in cooperation with the public from the north west zone, protested against the military dictatorship, chanting: “We will take preventive measures against COVID-19. We will also protest against the junta”.

· Myaing PDF and Pale PDF found timber which had been illegally cut in forests set aside for conservation. Reportedly, they destroyed it by burning.

Taninthayi Region

· On Wednesday, there were rallies against the military dictatorship in Nyinmaw village of Longlone Township, Thingyun village of Thayetchaung Township and Kanbauk area of Yebyu Township.

· In Longlone Township, local residents made a protest against the military dictatorship in Gauin village on Wednesday afternoon.

· In Longlone Township, the youth in Lower Yebyu village marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Wednesday morning, chanting anti-junta slogans.

· In Longlone Township, Thajettaw villagers made a protest against the military dictatorship at dawn Wednesday.

· Despite oppression by the junta armed forces, Dawei General Strike, in cooperation with a rally of young students, made a guerrilla protest with burning torches at dawn Wednesday.

Rakhine State

· In Mrauk-U Township, a woman from Sinbawkain IDP camp tested positive for COVID-19.

Kachin State

· In Pha-Kant Township, young residents of Tamakan Myothit marched for the end of the military dictatorship, chanting: “We will never give up. Our blood will never cool down”.

· In Pha-Kant Township, a rally of Lonekhine Group residents expressed their desire against the military dictatorship.

Kayar State

· In Lwaikaw Township, there was a battle between the junta armed forces and Karenni Army regiment (3) at Kunna Dawtahe village of Tilone Group on Monday. Consequently, around 7000 local residents had to run away. Reportedly, the junta army lost 14 soldiers in that battle.

· According to Karenni FBR, the IDPs need medicine, food, tarpaulin, mosquito-nets and drinking water.

· At about 9:20 pm Monday, there were bomb explosions at Loikaw District police office and the electricity department. KNDF (Loikaw Zone) announced that they had carried it out. Reportedly, two members of the military junta were injured in the incident.

Mon State

· In Paung Township, the youth expressed their desire against the military dictatorship, chanting words of strong determination and anti-junta slogans.

Kayin State

· In Mutraw District (Pha-Pun District), there were 8 battles between KNLA and the junta armed forces within two days from 12th to 13th July. According to KNU Information and Communication, 11 junta soldiers died and 16 others were injured.

· In Thatone District, the junta armed forces have been strengthening their manpower by replacing BGF members with junta soldiers in Laykay village of Bilin Township. Therefore, the villagers are worried about that. According to KNU (Thatone District), the junta army wildly fired into the village and a villager was injured in the incident.

· According to the announcement of KNDO (Central) on Wednesday, it was not true at all that KNDO had been planning to assassinate KNU leaders. It was just an act of the military junta to divide the unity of the Kayin people.

Shan State

· (PSDA Muse) and (Lashio Civil Defence Force) announced that as alliance forces, they would fight together against the military junta till the end.

· In Taunggyi, the junta armed forces shot at a car for no apparent reason on Yangyi Aung street in Mingala-U Ward at about 2:00 pm Wednesday. Consequently, the car crashed and turned over and three people in the car died.

· In Taunggyi, there was a bomb explosion near Yan Aung store on the opposite side of electricity department on Wednesday evening. Reportedly, a person was injured and a car was damaged in the incident.

· In Kyaukme of Shan North, a crowd arrived at the city hall in 4 buses on Tuesday morning. They have been going around the town. Therefore, local residents are concerned about COVID-19 infection.

· SSLP/SSFF announced that they would make guerrilla attacks against the junta armed forces.

Chin State

· In Titain Township, the military junta has sent letters to the CDM staff members of health department to resume their work.

Nay Pyi Taw

· According to the junta media, Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the military junta has sent another letter to the U.S.A to transfer U Kyaw Moe Tun, Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the United Nations, who has been issued a warrant as a national traitor.

· On Wednesday, a special meeting of U.S-ASEAN foreign affairs was held online through video conferencing. Reportedly, the U.S urged ASEAN member countries to take action against Myanmar.

· The NUG dismissed 9 senior officers of the military junta including U Than Zaw, permanent secretary of Ministry of Electricity and Energy.

Summary on 14th July

· In Yangon, the rate of COVID-19 infection is on the rise and so is the number of deaths. The military junta has to close one department after another which they have reopened to show the operation with the administration. They have also been calling for the cooperation of civil society organizations in the COVID crisis. However, CSOs did not join hands with them as the junta armed forces made attacks and arrests targeting social organizations at the beginning of Spring Revolution. However, as the saying goes - “from the people to the people”, CSOs have been helping the public on their own. The military junta is still restricting oxygen refills. There were also social media posts saying that the junta armed forces have instructed pharmacies to close in some townships of Yangon.

· Amidst daily arrests and firing of ammunition by the junta armed forces in Mandalay, there were still public protests against the military dictatorship. In spite of crackdowns, various rallies expressed their desire all day long. In addition, there were frequent assassinations of PDFs and Pyusawti members in Mandalay Region.

· In Sagaing Region, public protests had great momentum. Besides this, local PDFs were powerful. The military junta spread its armed forces all across the region and killed the locals ruthlessly. However, there were still rallies and protests against the military dictatorship. The revolution of Sagaing local PDFs has great momentum.

· There were public protests in other states and regions, except for Shan State. However, Shan local PDFs became powerful and they had been planning to make guerrilla attacks against the military junta.

· In Kayar and Kayin states, there were warfare operations of ethnic armed organizations. As the junta armed forces had been strengthening their manpower, there were clashes with local EAOs.

· The military junta has been confronted with pressure from the international community. At the same time, they don’t appear to have an effective plan to control the COVID-19 pandemic.
