The Military Council

  • According to the junta newspaper, the military junta held a singing contest in Ayeyarwaddy Region in honour of 75th Union Day.
  • At the opening ceremony of Ngapali Beach, Dr. Aung Kyaw Min, the junta chief minister of Rakhine State, said that Ngapali was one of the best-known beaches in Myanmar and it was also well-recognized by tourists. It was described as Virgin Beach in Asia.
  • At the annual meeting of the bank, U Shwe Lay, the junta Minister of Construction, said that CHID Bank had been providing construction loans and commerce loans annually.
  • According to the junta media, U Hla Soe, the junta chief minister of Yangon Region, attended a donation event for celebrating 101st National Day by YMBA and received money from donors.
  • According to the media citing the junta propaganda leader Zaw Min Tun, Danny Fenster, American journalist and Frontier Myanmar editor who had been sentenced to 11 years in prison in recent days, was released.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Ministry of Education- NUG announced that they would carry out an all-inclusive matriculation examination system in coordination with others and thus, there was no need to worry about pressure and threats by the military junta on matriculation students.
  • Ministry of Defence- NUG announced that 5 soldiers and 6 police members made contact on Monday to join the public as they could no longer accept the military dictatorship.
  • Ministry of Health- NUG released a report on their activities from 16th April to 16th October 2021.
  • U Aung Myo Min, Minister of Human Rights- NUG, said that he had met with some activists of Myanmar’s affairs in Paris, who always supported the NUG and CRPH. He also presented to them about the current situation and activities.
  • U Aung Myo Min, Minister of Human Rights- NUG, said that they reminded every group and force in the Spring Revolution of the need to respect human rights and not to go sideways in their activities for fair and defensive war.
  • People’s Soldiers announced on Monday that CDM soldiers started to implement Project A1 for the production of military weapons.

Revolution Activities

  • In Tamu of Sagaing Region, U Chit Aye, a man of 60 who had supported USDP and Ma-Ba-Tha, was shot dead near Pahe bridge on Monday morning.
  • In a village of Shwebo Township, there was a protest against the military dictatorship on Monday morning.
  • On Monday morning, farmers joined a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East for a march against the military dictatorship.
  • As 281-day protest, Kalay people marched in the rain on Monday morning for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • In Monywa, the military junta issued rules for motorbikers, including not to take a ride on motorbikes by men.
  • In Tandabin Township of Yangon Region, Tasone police camp with 10 police members was attacked by PDF members at about 11:30 am Monday. According to Yangon PDF, 3 junta police members were hit with bullets and died.
  • In Hlaing Township, the junta armed forces arrested a youth in Ward (7) on Sunday night.
  • At about 11:00 am Monday, PDF members attacked the junta camps at the foot of Thanlyin bridge in Yangon. Reportedly, 10 junta soldiers were hit with bullets and 3 of them died on the spot.
  • In North Dagon Township, the Burmese Students’ Union led a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship on Monday morning.
  • At the traffic lights near an ethnic village, traffic police members, who had been collecting money from the public, were attacked. Reportedly, 3 police members were hit with bullets and 2 of them might die.
  • According to residents, there were bomb explosions in Kyimyindine, Mayangone and Thingangyun townships on Monday morning.
  • In North Dagon Township, some young people hung anti-junta posters near Ma-Wa-Ta stop on Monday morning.
  • In Tamway Township, the junta staff members cut off the power supply to some houses on Monday morning. They also threatened local residents that they would not set it up again if they were photographed.
  • In Hlaingthaya Township, there was an explosion at the stadium on Kanaung Minthagyi road, where the junta armed forces had been stationing, at about 1:00 pm Monday.
  • On Monday afternoon, a combined rally of Mandalay Monks’ Union, Phayagyi and Myataung marched against the military dictatorship, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • In Moegoke, there were explosions and fire ammunitions simultaneously near the police station and in Le-U Ward where the junta army had been stationing at about 12:00 pm Monday.
  • In Oattara Thiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw, the junta armed forces arrested Ko Khin Mg Yin, Ko Zaw Min and administrator U Thein Win, accusing them of having contact with local PDF.
  • Mindat Township Public Administration Team expressed their strong condemnation against junta soldiers who committed rape to a mother of an infant in Titain Township of Chin State on the night of 11th November, beat her husband and took away their jewellery.
  • In Pantanaw of Ayeyarwaddy Region, there were two bomb explosions at the western ward administration office on Monday morning.
  • In Ayeyarwaddy Region, the military junta had been providing a short course to almost 250 newly-appointed teachers to replace CDM teachers.
  • Regarding the bomb attack at Laputta electricity office, 9 suspects were arrested for investigation. Reportedly, one of them died.
  • On Sunday, Yaw Defence Force called on the public not to travel on the roads in Yaw area of Magwe Region from 14th to 21st November.
  • In Thayetchaung Township of Taninthayi Region, a former hundred-household leader was shot dead in Kyaukhlega village on Monday morning.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Moenyin Township of Kachin State, two junta fighter jets dropped bombs on Thayetmaw camp of KIA in the neighbouring area of Namchimaw at about 2:00 am Monday.

Summary on 16th November

  • After the meeting between the military junta and former U.S ambassador, Danny Fenster, the American journalist who had been sentenced to 11 years in prison, was released. However, the junta leaders still ignored the calls of the international community, including the release of leaders in detention and implementation of democracy.
  • In Yangon Region, the revolution gained great momentum with many explosions and attacks at junta camps.
  • Except for public protests, as usual, there was nothing special until 5:00 pm in Sagaing Region. As for Mandalay, Magwe, Mon, Bago and Ayeyarwaddy, they had some protests and activities of guerrilla revolution.
