The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • On Saturday, there was a meeting between the Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw and Ministry of Economy and Commerce-NUG. Reportedly, they discussed the interim five strategies.
  • At 2:00 pm Saturday, there was a meeting between the NUG Interim Central Committee on Public Administration and the Committee Representing Taninthayi Regional Hluttaw.
  • Ministry of Defence-NUG announced that In Kyauka Village of Kalay Township in Sagaing Region, PDFs had attacked the junta armed forces ill-treating local people and they managed to rescue 50 villagers.
  • In Kyaikto Township of Mon State, a military convoy was attacked with mines by local PDF and 10 junta soldiers died.
  • In the People’s Defensive War on Saturday alone, 24 members of the junta armed forces died throughout the country.
  • The People’s Defence Forces under the Ministry of Defence-NUG warned all the junta administrators from the whole Sagaing Region to resign.

Revolution Activities

  • According to Special Task Mission, they assassinated U San Linn, Judge of Mingala Taung Nyunt Township in Yangon Region, on his way back home from court on Saturday night.
  • On Saturday morning, a combined rally of Burmese Students’ Union and strike committees conducted an anti-junta movement in commemoration of Martyrs’ Day in Yangon, raising a banner - ‘Fight the ethnocentrism. There are more than 9 martyrs’.
  • There was a grenade attack at the junta administration office in Ward (11) of Shwepyitha Township on Friday evening. Reportedly, 4 people, including a clerk, were injured.
  • In Longlone Township of Taninthayi Region, allegedly a Pyusawti member was shot dead at his house in Painnedaw Village at about 6:00 am Saturday.
  • In Myeik, a convoy of junta soldiers and Pyusawti members was attacked with mines at about 7:00 am Saturday on their way to Bonepyan School in Yepone Ward.
  • In Salingyi Township of Sagaing Region, Latbadaung Taung General Strike marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • In Shwebo Township, a rally of Shwe Kun Myay marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • Chaung-U Township PDF announced that Monywa-Mandalay Road had been closed temporarily due to urgent needs starting from Saturday morning.
  • In Yinmabin Township, a combined rally marched against the military dictatorship at Myaukdama Bridge on Saturday morning.
  • In Tamu, there was a bomb explosion at the court in Sandagu Ward on Saturday morning.
  • Reportedly, there are only 11 days left for the 15000 lakh MMK project for Sagaing PDFs. The organizers called on the public to contribute to their campaign.
  • In Ayadaw Township, local PDFs attacked with mortars the junta armed forces invading Hsintale Village on 11 July. Reportedly, 8 junta soldiers died.
  • In Tilin Township, a contingent of 100 junta soldiers was attacked on Friday morning. The total number of casualties is unknown.
  • In the west of Gantgaw in Magwe Region, local PDF lost two members in a battle against the junta army on Thursday morning.
  • In Saw Township, two members of The Youth Force - Saw&Kyaukhtu were injured while testing hand-made projectiles.
  • In Myitnge of Mingalay Region, Zar Ni Naing, a security guard of the railway office and allegedly junta informer, was shot dead on Saturday morning.
  • In Dawei and Thayawaddy prisons, 13 political prisoners have been ruthlessly treated.
  • In Yeni Township of Bago Region, there was a clash on Thursday evening as the junta army invaded the camp of Nay Pyi Taw PDF (802). Reportedly, about 6 junta soldiers died. As for the PDF, they lost a member and another one is still missing.
  • In Shweku Township of Kachin State, there was fighting between the junta army and PDF near Yele Village on Saturday morning.
  • In Hpakant Township, a combined rally of ethnic people and gems miners marched for the NUG and against the military dictatorship on Saturday morning.
  • In Kayin Township, there was a bomb attack via drone on the junta army Ka-La-Ya (97) on Friday morning. Reportedly, an employee of Myanmar’s Economic Bank was injured as he was there to carry out financial tasks.
  • According to Chin Relief Funding Program on Thursday, there would be changes related to prize money of Tumi Lottery, starting from Batch (3), to raise fund for the Chin Revolution.
  • In Thatone Township of Mon State, U Hla Tin, administrator of Gaw Village Group and allegedly a junta informer, was shot dead on his way to a bar at about 5:00 pm Friday.
  • In Fruso Township of Karenni State, Nay Pyi Taw PDF blew up a junta MyTel telecom tower on Saturday morning. Reportedly, they would use the broken pieces in the production of mortars.
  • On Saturday, Nay Pyi Taw PDF announced they had produced a lot of weapons including 81mm projectiles that they will give to a Pekone-based PDF in Shan South.
  • In Shan South, JPGF and RAGF joined hands as an alliance.
  • In Shan South, two young members of Taunggyi Guerrilla Force were arrested in the second week of July.
  • In Muse of Shan North, a man aged about 30 was shot dead at close range in Tawywet Ward on Friday morning.
  • In Pekone Township of Shan South, a local health team consisting of CDM healthcare staff provided basic healthcare services to 166 local people in the first week of July.
  • The organizations of Myanmar people in Japan called for no invitation to the military junta including the junta embassy to the national funeral of the former Japanese Prime Minister.
  • According to Justice for Myanmar, India broke the EU sanction against the import of weapons to Myanmar by their recent sale of Swedish high-tech explosives to the junta army.
  • From 29 to 31 July, there would be a Sustainable Political Development Sharing Program - Batch 4 for those who want to learn about the revolutions and federal democracy.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • On the 75th anniversary of Karen National Defence Organization, Karen National Union-KNU stated that they, in cooperation with all organizations with the same political attitude, would put an end to the ethnocentrism and the military dictatorship.
  • In Myawaddy Township of Kayin State, Cobra Troop confiscated communication equipment and weapons from the junta armed forces that had run away in fear.
  • KNDO announced that the criticism by Myat Aung or Zero via social media against other organizations and individuals did not reflect the views of KNDO Headquarters and it had nothing to do with the organization.
  • In Chin State, CDF Matupi shot dead military officer Than Naing Win from Ka-La-Ya (140) outside of town on Friday.
  • In Hakha Township, there was a fighting between Chin Defence Force and the junta army at 4:00 pm Friday. Reportedly, a CDF member lost his life.
  • In Yatsauk Township of Shan South, there was a clash for an hour between two Shan EAOs; RCSS and SSPP on Friday afternoon.
  • In Maishu Township, the military junta requested SSPP/SSA to inform them within 7 days about the withdrawal of their 3 camps.

The Military Council

  • On Saturday, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing visited Novosibirsk State University, private research institution in Novosibirsk of Russia, and discussed the matter of sending Myanmar students there.
  • According to the junta propaganda media, 14 PDF members without any crimes were sent back to their parents in Yangon Region on Friday.
  • In the meeting on Friday, the junta Minister of Immigration and Population said that they would carry out Pankhin Project Phase (2), a project for an accurate voter list in the election, for 17 months for those who would soon reach the age of 18.
  • On Friday, the junta Central Bank instructed Myanmar companies with up to 35% of foreign ownership to exchange their foreign currency with the rate of 1850 MMK per dollar.
  • After the junta Central Bank issued the instructions to control the flow of dollars, the price continued to rise and it was worth over 2200 MMK per dollar on Saturday.
  • According to the junta fuel oil team, the retail reference price in Yangon decreased up to 1700 MMK per litre on Saturday.

  • The junta propaganda media claimed that the military junta had sent back PDF members without crimes to their parents. According to the public, those groups included old people and they were not true PDF members.
  • In Sagaing Region with the most serious revolution against the military junta, the junta armed forces conducted battles through ground and air strikes on a daily basis. Consequently, there were casualties among local people and many others had to run away.
