The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) sent a statement to the General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Xi Jinping saying that they are willing to join hands with China for restoring peace and stability in Myanmar.
  • In Mindat Township in Chin State, the judiciary department of the local public administration completed the investigation of over 120 cases within a year.
  • With cooperation among the NUG Ministry of Defence, he NUG Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment and Public Voice Television (PVTV), the sale of Our Spring Heroes Bond started in 12 countries, for those who lost their lives during the Spring Revolution.
  • According to the NUG Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration, the one-year anniversary of the SPECIAL OPERATION FORCE (S.O.F) was celebrated in the area under the control of the Karen National Union (KNU) Brigade (6) on 19 July.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Sagaing Region, a combined rally of three villages marched against the military dictatorship on Monday.
  • In Salingyi Township, the Monywa University Students’ Union and the Letbadaung General Strike conducted anti-junta public talks on Monday.
  • In Monywa Township, there was a rally against the military dictatorship on Monday where people chanted anti-junta slogans.
  • On their  585th day of protest, a combined rally of villages from Salingyi and Yinmabin marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Monday morning.
  • In Wetlet Township, a combined force of PDFs attacked Shwepangone Police Station on Monday morning. As the junta army suffered great losses there, they fired randomly into villages from two Mi35 helicopters.
  • In Khin-U Township, a military convoy was attacked with mines at about 9:00 am on Monday. As they conducted a wild shooting They fired wildly in response and hit and injured a woman.
  • In the east of Wetlet Township, the junta army set fire to Thitsaimgyi Village on Sunday evening. Reportedly, 37 houses were burnt down.
  • In the west of Wetlet Township, the junta army conducted air strikes on local villages on Monday morning. Reportedly, a woman lost her life.
  • In Indaw Township, a person who was arrested with bullets in their possession at the junta local inspection gate on 13 October, was sent to Katha District and died during interrogation.
  • In Shwebo Township, a military convoy was attacked with mines by local PDFs at 2:30 pm Saturday. Reportedly, five junta soldiers died.
  • In Chaung-U Township, a local PDF managed to confiscate 13 40mm grenades from the junta army.
  • In the east of Wetlet Township, the junta army conducted an air strike using six helicopters on the camp of the Thabaitgyin Guerrilla Force on 8 October. Reportedly, the force lost weapons and rations worth over 100 lakh MMK.
  • In Monywa, there was a grenade attack on the junta army in the vehicle registration office at 1:00 am on 15 October. Reportedly, some junta soldiers were injured.
  • In Insein Township in Yangon Region, prisoners collaborating with warders in Insein Prison beat the political prisoners who refused to carry the waste buckets.
  • Australian Economist Sean Turnell, who had been sentenced to three years in prison under Myanmar’s Secret Act, was transferred to Insein Prison from Nay Pyi Taw.
  • In Wandwin in Mandalay Region, the junta township administrator and one of his followers were shot dead while they were eating at a restaurant.
  • On Monday, the Mandalay Monks’ Union led an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • In Patheingyi Township, San Win, the junta administrator of Yegyi Village, was shot dead by gunmen on Sunday evening.
  • In Myaing Township in Magwe Region, local PDFs conducted an attack with homemade mortars at the junta army in a Pyu Saw Htee Village at 9:00 pm on Sunday. Reportedly, five junta members died and many others were injured.
  • In Natmauk Township, there was fighting between the junta army and local PDFs on Sunday night. Reportedly, four junta soldiers died and two guns were confiscated.
  • In Gantgaw District, HYPER UAV FORCE completed its drone training Batch (6).
  • The Pathein West Defence Force (PWDF) announced through its social media page that some members were facing security hardships and so, they all were to suspend their connection.
  • In Pulaw Township in Tanintharyi Region, there was a bomb attack on the junta administration office at 11:00 am on Sunday.
  • On the Thatone-Phaang Road, there were attacks on the Donthami Bridge Inspection Gate and the Kyarban Combined Inspection Gate on Monday morning. Reportedly, three junta members were injured.
  • In Moekaung Township in Kachin State, the abbot of Laymaing Village Monastery was shot dead by an unknown armed group at about 8:00 pm Sunday.
  • In Matupi Township in Chin State, U Tin Lwe, the junta township education officer, was shot dead at his house at about 8:00 pm on Sunday.
  • According to Dancing with Ladies, they got more funds than expected from their third project and they will send it to revolutionary forces in Chin State and Magwe Region.
  • In Frankfurt in Germany, Myanmar people conducted the Global Myanmar Students’ Strike on Monday.
  • In Tokyo in Japan, there was a march against the military dictatorship of Myanmar as a part of the Global Myanmar Students’ Movement on Sunday.
  • In European cities, there have been sticker campaigns to remind them of Myanmar’s affairs.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • In KyarIn Seikgyi Township of Kayin State under the Karen National Union (KNU) Brigade (6), there were battles between the junta army and a combined force of the KNLA on Saturday and Sunday. Reportedly, 16 junta soldiers were caught alive and 23 others ran away.
  • According to CDF Hakha on Monday, they opened a local public court.
  • In Maungdaw Township in Rakhine State, the Arakan Army (AA) conducted a guerrilla attack on two junta military trucks at about 6:00 pm on Saturday. Reportedly, four junta soldiers died and some weapons were confiscated.
  • Despite the offer from the RCSS for discussions to resolve conflicts in Shan State and the Union, no organisation has contacted them yet.

The Military Council

  • On Sunday, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing met with junta soldiers and their families at the Southeast Military Headquarters and talked about unity in the junta army.
  • The junta leader left instructions for action against the leaks of important army news. Reportedly, he had to put off his family trip to Shan State in an exclusive railway coach due to such leaks.
  • On World Food Day, the second junta leader Soe Win said that amidst the hardships of COVID-19, local production of crops and meat increased.
  • On Sunday morning, the Chair of the junta Union Election Commission left the country to attend the 5th General Assembly of the Association of World Election Bodies(AWEB) Bodies(A-WEB), which would be held in Cape Town in South Africa.
  • According to the junta Trade Department, they earned over 1,2000 million USD from China-Myanmar Trade in the first six months of the 2022-23 fiscal year.
  • The junta edible oil committee set the reference wholesale price for Yangon-based businesses at 3960 MMK per viss from 17 to 24 October.
  • According to the military junta, PDFs conducted a bomb attack from a drone into Bonekan Village in Pakkoku Township on Sunday morning. Reportedly, a child aged four was injured.
  • In Hleku Township in Yangon Region, 10 Bengali people were arrested in an express car at the junta inspection gate on Monday morning.
  • In Kayan Township, the military junta banned the riding of motorbikes starting from Monday. Reportedly, the town was silent and deserted.
