The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • At about 10:00 am Monday, there was a meeting between the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration- NUG and the Township People’s Administration Teams from Sagaing Region, Magwe Region and Mandalay Region.
  • At 3:00 pm Monday, there was a meeting between the Central Committee on the Interim Public’s Administration- NUG and Township People’s Administration from Sagaing Region.
  • In Kyar-In Seikgyi Township of Kayin State, a combined force of the Karen National Liberation Army attacked a junta troop on its way back from Kwilonetie Frontline Camp. Reportedly, the junta army suffered great losses.
  • In Seikphyu Township of Magwe Region, there was a clash between local PDFs and junta troop on 13 July. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers died and 10 others were injured.
  • In a press conference for fund-raising activities by the Ministry of Defence- NUG on Tuesday, it was stated that the 5th project of ‘Dancing with Ladies’ would be conducted to attack Naypyi Taw, the headquarters of the military junta.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Yinmabin Township of Sagaing Region, a rally of Shwe Nwe Thwe with determination marched against the military dictatorship on Tuesday.
  • In Shwebo Township, the junta army conducted an air strike on Takanthar Village on Monday afternoon. Besides, one of their troops set fire to people’s houses on the ground.
  • On their 848th day of protest, a combined rally of Salingyi and Yinmabin marched against the military dictatorship on Tuesday, holding signs saying ‘Martyrs never die’.
  • On Tuesday morning, a rally of Yinmabin North marched for the end of the military dictatorship.
  • In Chaung-U, the junta army making inspections in town were bombed at about 8:00 am Tuesday. Reportedly, 4 junta soldiers died.
  • In Monywa Township, local PDFs attacked the junta army building a camp near Myene Village at 7:30 pm Sunday. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died and 3 others were injured.
  • In Myinmu Township, there was a mine attack on a junta support convoy of 4 military trucks at 9:45 pm Monday. Reportedly, 4 junta soldiers died.
  • In Taze Township, there were two battles between the junta armed forces and local PDFs on Monday morning. Reportedly, no less than 30 junta soldiers died and 9 others were seriously injured.
  • In Myinmu Township, the junta army set fire to nearly 600 houses in 8 local villages in recent days. They also arrested and killed 15 people.
  • In Taungdwingyi Township of Magwe Region, Kyaw Hsint, the junta administrator of Bagangone Village, was shot dead at about 4:00 pm on Sunday.
  • In Dawei of Taninthayi Region, there were attacks via mortars on the Ministers’ Housing, the Office of Border Affairs and the junta army on secret patrol at about 11:00 pm Sunday.
  • In Kanpetlet Township of Chin State, the military junta carried out an aerial bombing via five fighter jets on Masartwi Village starting from 11:00 am Tuesday.
  • On behalf of donors from Yangon, the focal person of the Rural Land provided beverage and food to the displaced farmers in Demoso Township in Karenni State.
  • In Phapun of Kayin State, there was an explosion at the office of Union Solidarity and Development Party in Ward (1) at about 10:00 pm Monday. Reportedly, the whole building collapsed and some nearby houses were damaged as well.
  • On Tuesday, Mobye PDF Rescue Team announced that they had conducted a special refreshers’ course on emergency rescue and medical treatment on the battlefields.
  • According to Assistance Association for Political Prisoners, up to 3,800 people have lost lives due to the junta armed forces until 17 July since the military coup.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

  • In Hakha Township of Chin State, a soldier from the junta army Ka-La-Ya (266) defected to a local CDF along with an A1 gun and some ammunition on Monday. Reportedly, he was rewarded with 50 lakh MMK and taken to a safe place.
  • In Hakha Township, there was a battle between the junta army and the combined force of CDFs on the Hakha-Thanglang Road on Tuesday morning. Reportedly, two members of CDF Thanglang and a member of Chin National Army lost their lives.
  • According to an officer from the Karen National Liberation Army, they attacked the junta army on its way back from Kwilonetie Frontline Camp in KyarIn Seikgyi Township of Kayin State from 11 to 14 July. Reportedly, about 50 junta soldiers including officers died.
  • In Kyaikto Township of Mon State, the KNLA Brigade (1) lost a car and some weapons in an attack by the junta army while they were on a military operation near Karawayseik Village on Sunday.
  • In Kutkhine Township and Theinni Township of Shan North, there were battles twice between the junta armed forces and Ta’ang National Liberation Army on Monday.
  • Somewhere in Namsam Township of Shan North, the TNLA opened their basic police training Batch (4) on Monday.
  • In Kayin State, a combination of revolutionary forces attacked the junta army camp and some camps of the junta Border Guard Forces (BGFs) near Myawaddy on Tuesday. Reportedly, there was heavy fighting.
  • In Karenni State, the junta armed forces have been invading the area and there have been frequent battles. Karenni Revolution Union stated that they had been in need of ammunition.

The Military Council

  • Starting from 15 July, the military junta has been sharing brochures nationwide, claiming that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi said she does not support the NUG and PDFs in a meeting with the Thai Foreign Minister.
  • On social media, a short video went viral, in which a tycoon named Mr. Serge Pun (alias) U Thein Wai said that despite the battles of the PDFs and the EAOs against the junta army in other parts of the country, it was okay if they did not conduct attacks in big cities, especially Naypyi Taw.
  • An article in Myanmar Now said that private bank owners have been buying the junta bonds worth thousands of million MMK with the public’s money and they have been supporting the military junta.
  • While attending the meeting of Mekong–Ganga Cooperation in Bangkok of Thailand, the junta Minister of Foreign Affairs had exclusive meetings with the Foreign Ministers from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka on Monday.
  • According to the junta Ministry of Economics and Commerce, the trade volume at Myawaddy Trade Zone on Myanmar-Thai Border was worth over $530 million USD from 1 April to 14 July.
  • The military junta announced on Monday that they had arrested 4 PDF members who had assassinated the local medical officer and conducted explosion attacks in Myitnge in Mandalay Region.
  • The military junta announced that an armed group had opened fire at people who had come back from a tree planting event in the middle affiliated school of Konemingyi Ward in Butalin in Sagaing Region on Monday morning.
  • The military junta instructed flying the national flag at half mast and the cars to sound their horns on Martyrs’ Day.
  • The military junta announced that they had arrested a man who had robbed the house of the Director General of the junta Ministry of Labor in Naypyi Taw at 10:30 pm on 12 July, along with weapons, in Yangon Region.
