Yangon Region

  • The youth hung the vinyls of images of Daw Aung San Su Kyi at the city-points in North Okkalapa Township to commemorate her birthday.
  • At about 8:00 am, young residents of Thuwunna in Thingangyung Township protested against the military dictatorship, holding sign boards with anti-junta slogans.
  • To celebrate the 76th birthday of Daw Aung San Su Kyi, young people from South Okkalapa Township made a flower strike against the military dictatorship.
  • The public in Hlegu Township conducted a “guerrilla protest” against the military dictatorship and offered birthday wishes for their leader at the pagodas in their township.
  • The people in Kyauktada Township carried out an indoors flower strike to honour the birthday of their leader and to protest against the military dictatorship.
  • The youth of Hlaingthaya Township conducted a flower strike for the freedom of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship.
  • Young people from South Dagon, a township in which the military rule has been declared, held flower strikes at crowded markets.
  • Young residents of Hmawbi Township conducted a flower strike with jasmine for the happiness of Daw Aung San Su Kyi on her 76th birthday and against the military dictatorship.
  • In commemoration of the birthday of Daw Aung San Su Kyi, young residents of Yangon made a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship at Thamai junction in Mayangon Township. That rally included youth from various townships.
  • On Sanchaung street in Sanchaung Township, armed forces arrested two young women with flowers in their hair after checking their mobile phones. The public of Sanchaung Township made indoors flower strikes for the birthday of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship.
  • In Kamayut Township, young residents of Yangon conducted flower and umbrella strikes for the birthday of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship.
  • According to the statement of New Community Democratic Party (Headquarters), they would brighten their corner in the fight against the military dictatorship, together with the public, and the military is fully responsible for the negative impacts of the coup on the country’s future as well as the damages in the social, health and economic sectors.
  • To commemorate the birthday of the public leader, local residents of Tonte Township expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.
  • In Seikkyi Kanaungdo Township, the youth and the public wore red shirts and expressed their desire for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • The youth and the students in Shwe Pyi Tha Township made a flower strike against the military dictatorship.
  • Young people from Mingaladone Township carried out indoors flower strikes, holding sign boards for the freedom of Mother Su.
  • The public in Dagon Seikkam Township conducted indoors flower strikes against the military dictatorship.

Mandalay Region

  • On Saturday morning, a rally of Man Variety Forces took to the streets to honour the birthday of the public’s leader and protest against the military dictatorship. The rally included young people from Daung Sitthi, Seinban, Ta-Ka-Tha and Ba-Ka-Tha rallies.
  • In Amarapura Township, the people made flower strikes by offering flowers and pieces of paper to the pagodas to celebrate the birthday of the public’s leader and protest against the military dictatorship. Those pieces of paper said - “We are not fleeting flames”.
  • The rally of Yadanabon University students in white made a flower strike by wearing and holding flowers to commemorate the birthday of the public’s leader and protest against the military dictatorship.
  • Raising the clothing sign boards with the image of Daw Aung San Su Kyi captioning “Our Nation”, the rally of Man health family expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.
  • Manlay Pyinyat Monks Union held sign boards with the words - “Peacefully protesting” for the freedom of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship.
  • The rally of Man Aungpinle and Maha Aungmye general public went round the villages in the township and expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.
  • Instead of taking to the streets, the rally of Man Aungmyae Thazan Schools donated alms and made a flower strike to commemorate the birthday of the public’s leader.
  • According to a local resident, all the red roses were sold out at East Palace market as people bought them for flower strikes.
  • In Mandalay, armed forces placed groups of 4 or 5 civilian-like informers at crowded crossroads. They also patrolled in cars. According to the confirmation of a local resident, there are still people entering and leaving the junta administration offices and regular motorbike arrests.
  • The public from the east part of Madaya Township made a flower strike.
  • Moegoke community held images of Daw Aung San Su Kyi and expressed their desire for the freedom of the public’s leader and the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • At about 10:00 pm Friday night, there were explosions at the vehicle-registration office and somewhere in Myingyan. No damage or injury was reported.
  • At about 9:15 pm Friday night, there was an explosion at Myingyan Township NLD office. It happened during a power-cut that affected the whole town.
  • Myingyan residents took part in the flower strike by offering flowers and water to Lord Buddha at home for the freedom of the public’s 76-year-old leader Daw Aung San Su Kyi. The youth of Myingyan protested against the military dictatorship, holding various kinds of local flowers. Myingyan General Strike conducted a well-wishing event and flowerstrike for the public’s leader.
  • Taungtha community participated in the flower-strike movement and expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.
  • In Nyaung-Oo Township, the public carried out alms donations at the monasteries for the birthday of the public’s leader.
  • Kyaukbadaung PDF has been established in cooperation with NUG, ethnic armed organizations and other local PDFs for the downfall of the military dictatorship and the formation of a federal army.
  • Inhabitants of Daungle village in Kyaukbadaung Township made a flower-strike.
  • The youth in Maittila Township made a sticker-campaign for the freedom of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship, placing “Free Our Leader” stickers at bus terminals, street signs and lamp posts. Shay Sigone villagers made a flower strike against the military dictatorship and recited Parritas in commemoration of the birthday of the public’s leader.
  • In Ngazun Township, the local residents made flower strikes in crowded markets for the freedom of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship.
  • The townspeople of Sintkai and Palait conducted flower strikes and expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.
  • The townspeople of Khin-U in Shwebo District made indoors flower strikes, wearing red roses.
  • The local people carried out flower strikes among the pagodas in Bagan ancient zone for the birthday of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship.
  • At Café 99 in Pyin Oo Lwin, the staff members wore flowers and gave flowers to celebrate the 76th birthday of the public’s leader. At about 11:00 am, junta police and soldiers arrested 12 staff members, including 3 owners. It is still unknown where they have been detained.
  • To commemorate the birthday of Daw Aung San Su Kyi, Yamethin locals made a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship.

Bago Region

  • Young residents of Shwe Taung conducted a flower strike to honour the birthday of the public’s leader and to protest against the military dictatorship.
  • Thegone community took part in the flower-strike movement in commemoration of the birthday of the public’s leader and expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.
  • The public in Gyobingauk made indoors protests against the military dictatorship, with anti-junta slogans.
  • Pyi residents carried out flower strikes at home and expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.
  • The public in Moe Nyo made flower strikes against the military dictatorship.
  • Wearing flowers in their hair, young women from Thoneze Township participated in a flower strike for the freedom of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship.

Ayeyarwady Region

  • On Saturday morning, explosions happened three times in Phyapone. At about 8:00 am, the first explosion took place near Shwe Yatu officer guest building and the township court inside the downtown park. At about 8:15 am, there was an explosion again at the township revenue office on the crossroad of Nilar street and Zayawaddy street in Ward (7). The third one was near the high school and Chinese temple on 2nd street in Ward (4). There was some damage at the revenue office building due to the explosion. An unexploded bomb was found at a tea shop near the General Aung San’s statue at the entrance to the town, and it was taken away by the armed forces.
  • In Nyaungtone Township, the youth set sign boards on Ayeyarwady Bridge (Nyaungtone) for the freedom of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship. They then made a flower strike by scattering flowers.
  • Young people in Pathein handed flowers to the passers-by, calling for their participation in the flower strike movement in commemoration of the birthday of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship.
  • Myaungmya community carried out indoors flower strikes.
  • In Kyonemani village of Danubyu Township, the villagers held a wishing event at the village pagodas for the freedom of the public’s leader and flower-strike against the military dictatorship.
  • Wearing colourful flowers, the local people in Ngapudaw expressed their desire for the freedom of the public’s leader and for the downfall of the military dictatorship.

Sagaing Region

  • On Friday night, there was a fire at Kangyi market near Western North Regional Army Headquarters, referred to as the army town in Monywa, at around 8:00 pm during the curfew.
  • According to Minkin PDF, the armed forces and their Pyu Saw Htee members have been raiding 29 villages in Minkin Township and robbing of the money and food of the public. Therefore, the villagers have had to flee, their total numbering more than 11,000.
  • Latbadaung Taung residents of Salingyi Township conducted a public protest against the military dictatorship. Htanpu villagers celebrated the birthday of the public’s leader and expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship. Hundreds of Hpaung Katar villagers got together and made the flower strike for the freedom of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship. Moejoe Byin North villagers also joined the flower strike movement.
  • Holding the cloth signs with words of strong determination, the local people protested against the military dictatorship in Kalay, where there have been deaths from the COVID-19 virus.
  • At about 10:00 am Saturday morning, the junta armed forces arrived at Kin exemplary village in Kani Township with cars and motorbikes. They then fired ammunition in the village and raided the houses and shops of the public. At about 8:30 am before their arrival, there had been detection in Kin village group through a drone used by the armed forces.
  • Holding flowers, Monywa young people in white joined the flower strike movement to honour the birthday of the public’s leader and to protest against the military dictatorship.
  • For the freedom of the public leader, Monywa Amyint roadside villages made a flower strike, released pigeons and chanted anti-junta slogans.
  • The public in Dipeyin Township conducted an indoors flower strike against the military dictatorship. Despite being surrounded by the armed forces, Marakan villagers carried out the flower strike at the village pagoda.
  • Sagaing community took part in the flower strike movement to celebrate the birthday of the public’s leader and protest against the military dictatorship. Aung Mingala market people from Hsa Daung conducted the flower strike.
  • The people in Shwe Gyaung Kan village of Myinmu Township held a well-wishing event for the birthday of the public’s leader.
  • A rally comprising hundreds of villagers from Tantse Township expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.
  • In Phaung Pyin Township, Manmaw villagers held a ceremony for the 76th birthday of Daw Aung San Su Kyi.
  • Tamu community joined the flower strike movement for the freedom of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship.
  • Wearing colourful flowers, Shwebo young people made a flower strike for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • In Kyun Hla Township, inhabitants of Inhla village and Late Sintaung village conducted flower strikes against the military dictatorship.
  • Chanting anti-junta slogans, thousands of villagers from Tantse Township expressed their desire for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • The people in Inn village of Katha Township carried out a flower strike for the freedom of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship.

Magwe Region

  • According to Yaw PDF, they made two gunshots at a car from Phyo Myitta Express on Friday morning as a warning to stop relations with U Hla Swe (Bullet), former USDP MP of Gantgaw Township. They also expressed their apology to the passengers in the car.
  • In Shwebo village of Gantgaw Township, hundreds of students and the public made a flower strike for the birthday of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship. Thalin villagers also joined the flower strike movement.
  • In Pakokku Township, the public of Thit Palwe Gon village held a protest against the military dictatorship, holding flowers.
  • Kamma community conducted a rally in the town and made a flower strike for the freedom of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship.
  • In Myaing Township, the northern villages made flower strike for the freedom of the public’s leader and for the downfall of the military dictatorship. Raising sign boards with the words - “Gen Z will fight till the end”, Pandaitaw villagers expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.
  • Myaing Township Basic Education General Strike Committee, in cooperation with the general public, protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Yayzagyo Township, the people from markets joined the flower strike movement. The public in town and villages made flower strike for the freedom of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship.
  • The townspeople of Aung Lan carried out flower strike to celebrate the birthday of Daw Aung San Su Kyi and protest against the military dictatorship.
  • Wearing roses, Yaynangyaung residents made indoors flower strike against the military dictatorship.
  • In Myo Thit Township, the education department under the junta has been putting pressure on the staff members who have joined the CDM to repay the interest-free two-month salary loan by the NLD government.

Tanintharyi Region

  • In Longlone Township, Thingyun villagers made a flower strike at dawn against the military dictatorship. Laythunkan villagers honoured the birthday of Daw Aung San Su Kyi and protested against the military dictatorship. In many other villages, there were rallies and flower strikes against the military dictatorship.
  • In Longlone Township, the rally from Yebyu village met with a white car carrying 6 civilian-like armed people at Gadat Nge Gon village at about 11:00 am. Those armed people fired ammunition to disperse the crowd. They then destroyed some motorbikes and took away two motorbikes. Reportedly nobody was arrested.
  • On Saturday morning, Dawei variety forces and youth-affairs rally held flowers to celebrate the birthday of the public’s leader and expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.
  • Dawei southern rally held flowers and wore flowers for the birthday of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship.
  • Holding sign boards with words of strong determination, Yebyu-Kanbauk residents expressed their desire for the freedom of the public’s leader and against the military dictatorship.
  • Longlone and Thabya rallies went to the beach, celebrated the birthday of the public’s leader and protested against the military dictatorship.
  • The youth in Thayet Chaung made a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship.
  • In Thayet Chaung Township, Thayet Hnakwa villagers made flower strike, holding the sign boards with anti-junta slogans. There were rallies in many other villages, chanting for the good health of the public’s leader and for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • Young people In Chaung Sone conducted flower strike in commemoration of the birthday of the public’s leader and for the victory of the revolution.
  • Young residents of Kawthaung carried out a paper strike with anti-junta posters.

Kachin State

  • Nammati youth held flower strike to celebrate the birthday of the public’s leader and protest against the military dictatorship.
  • Moe Gaung community hung balls with the images of Daw Aung San Su Kyi at mid-road barriers and expressed their objection to the military dictatorship. They also donated alms at a nunnery at dawn.
  • In honour of the 76th birthday of the public’s leader, Moe Nyin university students carried out a flower strike.
  • In Pha-Kant Township, the public in Mashi Kataung Ward held a birthday event for the public’s leader. Hundreds of Tarmakan Myothit protesters joined the flower strike, wearing flowers and holding flowers.
  • Wearing red roses, Ywathitgyi villagers of Hopin wished for the good health of the public’s leader and expressed their desire for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • With roses, Winemaw youth made a flower strike against the military dictatorship.

Kayar State

  • In Dimawso Township, a local resident died in a bomb explosion at the bridge joining the village streets of Dawse-Nanhu-Daw Kaluku.
  • In Kayar State, the number of people who have been shot dead by the military, has reached 64. It is likely that there will be more, according to the PKPF.
  • A group of 20 junta soldiers took a position at a clinic in Dimawso East. Due to that difficulty, medical treatment has had to be carried out elsewhere.

Kayin State

  • In Kyar Inseik Kyi Township, Taungdi villagers of Winyaw area carried out a flower strike to celebrate the 76th birthday of the public’s leader and protest against the military dictatorship.

Chin State

  • The junta armed forces raided Ziown church compound in Hakha Township Friday evening and arrested 7 young people.
  • Mindat IDPs are in need of food and medicine. At Thayettaw checkpoint in Pawk Township of Magwe Region, the junta armed forces have been checking and taking away the humanitarian aid on the way to Mindat.
  • The youth in Mindat IDP camp held wild flowers and made a flower strike for the freedom of the public’s leader and for the downfall of the military dictatorship.

Mon State

  • In Mawlamyaing, young people conducted a flower strike for the freedom of the public’s leader and protested against the military dictatorship.
  • The youth in Paung made flower strike against the military dictatorship.
  • Wearing red roses, Mudon residents carried out an indoors flower strike to commemorate the birthday of the public’s leader and expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.
  • Holding and wearing roses, the people in Kyaik Mayaw made a flower strike for the freedom of the public’s leader and the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • In relation to the case of Mi Wai Thi Phyo, who was killed in Phaya Thonesu on 8th June, Aung Htay from Ywathit village was arrested on suspicion. According to NMSP, he was caught together with a recording machine. He is still under investigation.

Shan State

  • At about 7:00 am Saturday morning, a truck carrying cement was destroyed between Maw Taung and Tar Lone villages in Muse Township on Muse-Kutkhine Union road.
  • UBL company in Tarchilait, permitted by the junta city development department, has been preparing to raise the garbage collection fee starting from July and putting pressure on the public to pay the fee at their company office.
  • Commemorating the birthday of Daw Aung San Su Kyi, the youth from Tarchilait made alms donations.
  • In Southern Shan State, young people from Hoepone donated alms at Thiri Mingala Shwe Chan Tha pagoda at dawn, with best wishes for the birthday of Daw Aung San Su Kyi. They also expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.
  • The locals from Ward (9) of Kyaukme in Shan North hung bouquets and pictures as well as wrote texts to celebrate the birthday of the public’s leader. Within hours, the junta armed forces arrived and destroyed them with fire.
  • Young people from Taunggyi placed “free-our-leader” stickers with the image of Daw Aung San Su Kyi on lamp posts and the walls of the buildings.
  • Muse youth wrote down the speeches of Daw Aung San Su Kyi on paper and expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.
  • In Pindaya Township, the local people made flower strike with colourful flowers with words of best wishes for the public’s leader.
  • Wearing colourful flowers, Theinni youth made flower strike against the military dictatorship.
  • Yartsaut young residents released fish and made wishes for the freedom of the public’s leader.
  • Young women in Nammatu showed their disapproval of the military dictatorship by joining the flower strike movement.
  • Lasho residents held flower strike with local flowers and expressed their objection the military dictatorship with the three-finger salute.
  • Kyaing Tone community conducted an indoors flower strike for the good health of the public’s leader.

Rakhine State

  • At noon Friday, armed forces arrested a 41-year-old man named U Aye Than Maung at his house in Kyet Kai village, Lamu village group in Taunggok Township.

Nay Pyi Taw

  • At the UN General Assembly, as a movement to show the world’s condemnation of the military coup in Myanmar, a proposal for stopping weapon sales and restoring democracy was decided by a vote. Among 193 member countries, 119 approved it. Indonesia and Vietnam from ASEAN gave affirmative votes while Laos and other countries gave a neutral votes.
  • Young people in Nay Pyi Taw made indoors flower strike for the freedom of the public’s leader.
  • The public of Lewe Township wrote HBD SU with roses to celebrate the birthday of the public’s leader and made an indoors flower strike against the military dictatorship.

Summary on 19th June

  • There were flower strikes all over the country for the 76th birthday of the public’s leader Daw Aung San Su Kyi and for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • In Yangon, there were still guerrilla protests on the streets as well as arrests of peaceful protesters by the junta armed forces. The junta is still tightening security in the townships where there have been explosions and counterattacks. They are still conducting arrests with the help of informers.
  • In Mandalay, the rallies of public protest continue with great momentum. The junta administration offices are in operation again and the junta is still trying to get information by pretending to be civilians.
  • In Minkin of Sagaing, the military, together with their armed Pyu Saw Htee members, have been raiding the villages. Consequently, the number of villagers who have fled has risen to more than 11,000.
