The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Ministry of Labour-NUG announced that workers in the country and abroad could make reports to their Facebook page.
  • In the meeting with the Central Committee on Local Public’s Administration in the Interim, Union Prime Minister called for activities which would let the international community know about the violence of the military junta on the ground.
  • On Friday night, Gantgaw Township Public’s Administration announced that 6 people from Nyaungle Village had been killed by the junta army and 5 of them had been burnt to death with their hands tied behind their back.

Revolution Activities

  • In front of the Indonesian Embassy, Myanmar people in Korea protested against providing humanitarian assistance to Myanmar refugees through the military junta on Saturday morning.
  • On the birthday of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi, there would be a campaign with multi-religious marches to respective religious buildings all over the country.
  • In some townships of Chin State, there have been threatening letters to the terrorists from local groups named ‘Devils’.
  • Strike committees have been calling for prayer events at local religious buildings such as pagodas, churches and mosques for the liberation of the country.
  • In Kyaukbadaung Township of Mandalay Region, the junta army shot dead Ko Min Thu Mg Mg, a member of Mandalay Independent Association, at 1:00 am Thursday.
  • Prior to the 77th birthday of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi, Mandalay people expressed their desire for the release of all political prisoners and national leaders, amidst tight security measures of the junta armed forces all over the city.
  • In Hpakant Township of Kachin State, a combined rally of gems mining workers marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday, raising an anti-junta banner.
  • According to Yangon Khit Thit Media, War of Heroes PDF Game has been on the top ten list of the US App Store for 5 days with the income of more than 17,000 USD.
  • In Pakkoku of Magwe Region, PDF confiscated the car of Yesagyo Township Police Officer at Khinema Garage on Friday noon. Reportedly, the junta police force arrested the owner of the garage and workers.
  • In Gantgaw Township, the junta army in Kan Village was attacked with mines by local PDF on Friday and Saturday. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers died and 5 others were injured.
  • In Sagaing Region, a rally of Yinmabin North conducted a march on Friday evening and encouraged the public to stir up revolution.
  • Karenni People’s Embrace released a video in which Pho Taung, a CDM soldier, had said that members of the junta armed forces were in despair and they felt like committing suicide. He also urged them to leave the military junta and join the public.
  • In Ayeyarwaddy Region, the junta armed forces sealed off the house of Ko Aung Mya Than, journalist of Maubin-based Ayeyarwaddy Times, on 15 June.
  • In Pindaya of Shan South, U Kyaw Nyein, a USDP MP and junta informer, was shot dead at 10:00 am Saturday.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Kyaukgyi Township of Bago Region under Karen National Union-KNU Brigade (3), a combined force of KNLA and PDF attacked the junta army camp in Kyauksayit Village at 5:00 am Friday.
  • In Myawaddy Township of Kayin State, there were lice in the rice of 9 PDF members in detention at Wawlay Police Station.
  • At 6:00 am on 15 June, a combined force of KNLA attacked Kthe yungbingone junta army camp on the side of Myawaddy-Kawkarait Asia Road. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died and 3 others were injured. As for the combined force, they lost a member.

The Military Council

  • On Saturday, Radio Free Asia broadcast a video in which members of the junta armed forces were talking to each other about their mass murders by slitting throats, cutting heads and shooting people dead, along with some photos.
  • The junta media stated that some unknown men had set fire to the high school in in Ward 1 of Lailinpe in Matupi Township of Chin State on 15 June.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that their invitation for peace had two objectives, to adopt strong practices of multi-party democracy and to build the union based on democracy and federalism.
  • In Hlaingthaya Township of Yangon Region, the military junta prohibited the ride of battery-bicycles, in addition to that of motorbikes.
  • The junta Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo announced that the Ministry of Trade and Commerce had launched a website containing information related to services, trade and investments.
  • On Saturday, the junta peace team met with the delegation of Pao National Liberation Organization-PNLO led by Vice-Chair Kun Tun Tin for the second day in Nay Pyi Taw.

Summery on 18 June

  • A video came out with the evidence of war crimes by the junta armed forces. Consequently, the military junta might face more and more pressure from the international community.
  • Amidst constant oppression, there were still anti-junta protests in Mandalay. As for other states and regions, they had guerrilla activities of armed revolution, rather than rallies against the military dictatorship.
  • In Sagaing, Magwe, Chin, Karenni and Kayin, there were battles between the junta army and local defence forces. Reportedly, both sides lost members.
