The Military Council

• At the University of Union Ethnic Development, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing told students that the military was just maintaining power in the interim as the country was at risk due to electoral fraud and the activities of a single party dictatorship.
• The junta Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced their disapproval of the UN’s bill as it had no other reasons rather than political ones.
• Dr. Htay Aung, the junta minister of Hotel and Tourism, said that it was necessary to resume domestic tourism in accordance with COVID-19 preventive measures.
• According to the junta newspaper, nursery schools had been reopened in states and regions, including Nay Pyi Taw, since 15th November.
• The junta newspaper said that the assassins of GM Thein Aung from MyTel Headquarters had been arrested.
• The junta newspaper stated that 38 staff members of the military junta had lost their lives and 79 others had been injured due to the NUG, CRPH and PDFs from 1st February to 16th November.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

• Ministry of Defence-NUG announced that 5 soldiers and 2 police members made contact on Saturday to join the public as they could no longer accept the military dictatorship.
• The NUG announced that they had blacklisted and dismissed 31 officers from Ministry of Transport and Communications for their various activities of oppression on CDM staff.
• Ministry of Defence-NUG announced that people’s defence forces were to follow international rules, regulations, ethics and standards on warfare without fail, including the Geneva Convention.
• Revolution Activities
• In Sagaing Region, a military truck was attacked with mines by Yinmabin PDF during their mind clearance operation on Pathein-Monywa road at about 11:00 am Saturday. Reportedly, 8 junta soldiers died.
• In Tantsi Township, there was a fighting between a combined force of the junta army + Pyusawti members and local PDFs near Kape village and Beyin village at about 3:00 pm Saturday. According to Tantsi PDF, a military truck on its way to support the junta army was attacked with mines and 4 junta soldiers died.
• At about 1:00 pm Saturday, 4 military trucks were attacked with mines by local PDFs at 2 separate locations in Myaung Township. Reportedly, two of them were damaged and almost every soldier on them died.
• In a village of Shwebo Township, there was a march against the military dictatorship on Saturday morning.
• Despite military operation of air, land and waterway attacks in Wetlet Township, a combined rally of students’ unions hung an anti-junta banner on Saturday.
• On Saturday morning, Monywa-Amyint road-side rural community carried out a protest against the military dictatorship.
• As a 286-day protest, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday and held an event in memory of 3 young people who had been killed by the junta armed forces.
• As a 255-day protest, a combined rally of villages from Yinmabin District marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Saturday.
• On Saturday, KNDF confiscated and destroyed MyTel SIM cards and Top-ups, owned by the military junta and imported to Kayah (Karenni) State.
• In memory of Thakhin Ba Hein who had lost his life 75 years ago, a combined rally of students’ unions expressed their desire against the military dictatorship in North Dagon Township on Saturday.
• In Hleku Township, MO 07 (Eagles) carried out remote mine attacks on the junta army on patrol between Sabudaung village and Hnakammway village on Friday morning and afternoon. Reportedly, there were casualties among junta soldiers.
• In Insein Township, students marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday.
• According to Hlaingthaya Urban Guerrilla Force, there was an attack with a M79 grenade launcher at Thaunggyi police station at about 8:00 am Saturday while police members got together for their assembly. Reportedly, there might be casualties among the junta police.
• In Magwe Region, local people welcomed PDF members with Eugenia on their way back from a defensive war operation against the military junta on Saturday.
• In Saw Township, a military helicopter was shot by CDF in the fighting near Kyinlain village on Friday. Belching smoke, it had to make an emergency landing at Kyauktu airport.
• In Minbu Township, a combined rally of Minbu-Saku students’ unions marched against the military dictatorship in Ward (2) on Ayeyarwaddy river bank on Saturday.
• In Pauk Township, King Fighter - SGF blew up a MyTel telecom tower on Friday night. Reportedly, it was the 5th one they had destroyed.
• At about 12:00 pm Friday, there were exchanges of fire between the junta army and a local guerrilla force near Miphaya village in Yesagyo Township.
• In Pha-Kant Township of Kachin State, local residents marched on Saturday for the downfall of the military junta led by Min Aung Hlaing.
• In commemoration of Transgender Day of Remembrance, a rally of LGBT in Mandalay marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Saturday.
• At about 9:00 pm Friday, the junta police raided Western News, Rakhine-based media.
• In Kanbai Ward of Taunggoke, a female teacher who had joined the CDM was arrested by the junta armed forces at her house on Saturday morning.
• According to CNDF, a person, who had committed robbery on many occasions in Phalan Township of Chin State, was given the death penalty.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

• According to Mutra Newsletter, there were 3 battles between a combined force of the junta army + BGF and KNLA in Phapun District under the control of KNU Regiment (5) on Thursday and Friday. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers died and 4 others were injured.
• In Monekoe of Shan State, there was a fighting between the junta army and MNDAA. Reportedly, MNDAA confiscated many weapons of junta soldiers from Regiment (99).
• Until 9:30 pm Friday, there was a heavy battle between the junta army and MNDAA at Sutaung mountain near Phaungsai in Shan North. According to local sources, the military junta lost many soldiers.

Summary on 20th November

• In his meeting with AA, Mr. Sasakawa, Chair of the Nippon Foundation and special envoy of National Reconciliation, called for no more battles in Rakhine State. After that, the military junta raided news agencies and arrested CDM staff there.
• In Chin, Kachin and Sagaing, there were heavy battles. The junta army had to use helicopters in their attacks. On the other hand, there were protests in those areas. In the battles in Sagaing areas, the military junta had a great loss. As for local PDFs, they lost some members as well.
• In Magwe Region, local PDFs became powerful and they gained tremendous support from the public. It could be seen that administration of PDFs was brought to life in those areas.
• In Chin State, public administration came into effect and even judicial activities were conducted. Chin Public’s Administration announced that non-criminal cases would be handled there with Chin traditional laws.
• Despite many revolutionists being arrested in Yangon, there were public protests as well as cases of shooting with mortars to prove that there would be ongoing revolution against injustice.
