Yangon Region

  • There was an explosion at the administration office on Shweyi road in Ngamoeyait Ward of Thingangyun Township in the evening on 18th June. According to CCTV, it was done by two women who had gone there to report for the overnight guest list. Two soldiers got injured due to the explosion.
  • Thet Paing Htoo or Ali, who had been arrested on Sar Pho Tha Chan street in Ngar Htat Gyi South Ward of Bahan Township at midnight on 19th June, died in the investigation. Mg Pho Sein, the one who had been shot by the junta armed forces during the arrest, died at the scene due to lack of medical treatment although he had been still alive at first.
  • At about 10:00 pm Sunday, a large number of junta soldiers raided into Diesu village near Panhlaing in Hlaingthaya Township and arrested no less than 10 residents.
  • At about 2:25 am during the curfew hour, there was a fire at Eid Gar mosque on lower Kyimyindine road in Saw Yan Pai Ward of Ahlone Township. On 9th March, the junta armed forces had entered that mosque, driven away from the security guards and fired.
  • The junta armed forces inspected the passers-by near Hledan market in Kamayut Township and near Khine Shwe Wah bus stop on Baho road. There were also security measures in front of BEHS (5) on Hledan road.
  • It was said that a bomb had been found near the ground-floor apartment in Yadanar Thuka street in Thingangyun Township. At about 1:00 pm, the junta armed forces arrived there and temporarily blocked Lay Daunk Kan road from BOC to Phayalan bus stop.

Mandalay Region

  • In cooperation with the NUG government, Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and other local PDFs, Moegoke PDF will fight against the military junta in various ways. The news of their PDF will be released from Moegoke Spring Revolution Real News.
  • The rally of Man Variety Forces took to the streets and protested against the military dictatorship, holding signboards with words of strong determination. The rally included Daung Sitthi, Maha Aungmye public and Cooperative University students.
  • Chanting anti-junta slogans, the rally of Man Aungmye Thazan Schools expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.
  • Some residents of Mandalay made a humanless strike with words of support for the NUG and best wishes for all the PDF heroes.
  • At U Pein bridge, in Amarapura Township, some young people made a poster campaign against the military dictatorship, with the words- “When injustice becomes law, revolution becomes duty” on large pieces of cloth.
  • The rally of Aung Pinle took to the streets and expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.
  • The Federation of Burmese Students’ Unions (Ba-Ka-Tha) expressed their desire for the downfall of the military dictatorship and the emergence of a Federal Union.
  • In Myingyan, the junta armed forces raided some houses in No. (9) Kan Oo Ward, but reportedly, nobody got arrested there. When the junta armed forces went to No. (6) Ward by car, they were attacked by ZERO guerrilla force members with the use of a time bomb. It is still unknown about the injured.
  • In Myingyan, the junta armed forces arrested a man and a woman from Ward (11), the owner of a mobile shop and 6 cowboys from Ward (6) on Sunday. The reason for the arrest is still unknown.
  • In Nyein Chan Aung village of Latpanhla village group, Sintku Township, Mg Kyaw Kyaw Myo was shot dead on his motorbike by the junta armed forces in front of Latpanhla school on the night of 20th June. It happened while he had been distributing the invitation cards of his wedding reception to be held on 24th June. His friend, who had accompanied him) was also beaten and arrested.

Bago Region

  • In Bago, the junta armed forces arrested Nyein or Ko Aung Ko, writer and article writer of Bago Weekly journal, and his 16-year old nephew- Mg Zaw Lin Htwe at home. They then raided the front house of Ko Nay Htet, former editor of Bago Weekly journal). He escaped as he was not at home.
  • The members of Bago Township Basic Education Students’ Union made a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship.

Ayeyarwady Region

  • In Pathein, there was an explosion in front of Pathein Hotel on Maha Bandula Road Sunday night. The junta armed forces arrested a 32-year old man named Ko Tun Lin Aung with hand-cuffs. He was a resident of Kinmalin street near the hotel.
  • Due to the high rate of COVID-19 transmitted cases in Myaungmya, the junta has been sending students back home. The parents have been bringing back their children.

Sagaing Region

  • According to Myaung Township People Defence and Security Organization (CDSOM), it was not them responsible for 3 Thakaung villagers from Yezagyo Township, who had been killed in Sanpya funeral service car on the evening of 19th June, in Thanatgone village of Myaung Township. It was just made-up news to damage the image of PDFs.
  • In the afternoon on 19th June, the junta armed forces broke into the house of Daw Aye Myat Mon, a regional NLD MP, in Memathaw village of Myaung Township and took away the valuable things in the house. She was not arrested as she had fled.
  • Kalay PDF announced that it was the junta armed forces who had raided into the house of U Win Zaw Oo in Inyagon of Nyaungbintha Ward in Kalay on the night of 19th June, shot four family members dead and taken away gold and other valuable things, and they must take responsibility for their action.
  • The junta armed forces had raided Ayeyarwady tea-shop in Chanmya Thasi Ward of Kalay on the morning of 20th June. They had not found the wanted man there. So, they had arrested his younger brother and his uncle. The uncle is a patient who has lost the sense of smell. Therefore, he was released in the evening, together with the cash of 50 lakhs and the phones which the armed forces had taken in their raid.
  • In Kalay, regarding Mg Kyaw Min Kant Maung who had been arrested on 20th June, his parents were informed to come and bring his dead body as he had died in the investigation. But, the head officer of Kalay police station responded that the young man didn’t die and he was still under investigation.
  • Amidst the shootings of the junta armed forces for no apparent reason and the high rate of COVID-19 transmitted cases in Kalay, the rally led by the youth went around the town and expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.
  • Tantsi Public Comrades (TPC) announced that there are secretive timber productions in cooperation with the military junta, inside Mahamyaing conservation area on Tantsi-Kalaywa road. They also warned those people not to continue and that if they fail to do so, TPC would effectively take action against them.
  • The junta soldiers in two military cars arrived at Kwaychaung village in Yinmabin Township and conducted raids in some houses from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Moreover, they raided Sonchaung and Batbwaygon villages. So, the villagers have had to run away.
  • In Kyunghla Township, the residents of Paygone village to the west of Thaphanseik dam expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.
  • The rally of Monywa General Strike got together at the downtown traffic lights and made a motorbike protest against the military dictatorship. Some young people went outside of the town and protested against the military dictatorship, holding the signboards- “People from the mountains and the mainland are in unity”.
  • The rally comprising hundreds of villagers from Salingyi North and Yinmabin East expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.
  • According to Yinmabin District PDF, there are secretive timber productions daily in forests of the district. So, they, in cooperation with the public, will take action against them.
  • In Butalin Township, the rally comprising hundreds of villagers went round in the villages and protested against the military dictatorship. In Chindwin village, the rally led by monks expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.

Magwe Region

  • In Magwe Region, 495 workers from Taukshabin, Tangine and Yenanma oil fields, who were dismissed by the junta for joining the CDM, need help for their basic needs like food and accommodation.
  • Myaing Township Basic Education General Strike Committee, in cooperation with the public from the northern zone, went around the northern villages on motorbikes and protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Taungdwingyi Township, the junta offices have been conducting COVID-19 educational campaigns at the crossroads and traffic lights in downtown areas. During the first and second wave, there were more than 250 COVID-19 positive cases in Taungdwingyi.
  • The NUG government has supported over 182 lakhs for the public of Kinma village in Pauk Township, where the whole village had been set on fire.

Tanintharyi Region

  • In Longlone Township, Yebyu villagers made a protest against the military dictatorship at dawn, holding cloth signboards- “We will never be silent”. The rally of Nyinmaw residents expressed their objection to the military dictatorship. Longlone Township General Strike went round the town in the afternoon and expressed their desire for the downfall of the military dictatorship. In the evening, Kanyone Kyung villagers made a protest against the military dictatorship.
  • In Dawei Township, the people took to the streets and protested against the military dictatorship. Moreover, they made humanless strikes at the crossroads, calling for the boycott against bloody products of the military.
  • In Thayetchaung Township, Thinkyung villagers made a rally in the evening and expressed their desire for the downfall of the military dictatorship.

Kachin State

  • The people in Moegaung went around the township on motorbikes at dawn and protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Dawphoneyan Township of Bamaw District, armed forces have been taking positions at religious buildings and hospitals. In some places, there are about 100 junta soldiers.
  • In Pha Kant Township, the residents of Haungpa Group made a protest against the military dictatorship. The people from Pha Kant-Tarmakan Myothit objected to the military dictatorship, chanting slogans to respect the people’s desire and free the leaders in detention. The protesters from Kyauk-Wine made a rally for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • In Myitgyina, a teacher tested COVID-19 positive at the primary school in Kachinsu Ward. So, the school has had to be closed temporarily.
  • After gaining power for four months, the military junta has been resuming the construction of Naung Mon airport in Naung Mon of Putao District in the north of Kachin State. That project had been suspended by the NLD government. Naung Mon is not a town under the rule of KIA. It is under the influence of the junta’s people army.

Kayar State

  • On the 146th anniversary of Kayinni National Day, the chair of KNPP sent a statement saying that they have been together with the public in the fight for the downfall of the military dictatorship. The ceremony was held at Nyamo or Taledusai Monday morning.

Kayin State

  • KIA/KNLA had reopened Hpapun-Kamaymaung road on 19th June. As they got the information that the junta armed forces have been carrying rations with civilian cars, they inspected the cars. As reported, they found those rations and thus, they destroyed them on fire.

Chin State

  • Chinland Defence Force announced that they strongly condemn the attack of Zomi Revolution Army at the camp of PDF who have been preparing to fight against the military junta. If ZRA continues to do so, CDF will fight back with partner forces.
  • In Phalan, a ceremony was held in memory of Salai Nawl Piang, a CDF member who had died in the fight between Chinland Defence Force and the junta armed forces near Lonban village one month ago. During that battle on 21st May, there were the deaths of 6 junta soldiers.
  • The 9 military cars carrying about 200 junta soldiers had left for Haka from Phalan on Monday morning. At Reed divergent point and near Talaya village, they made fire ammunitions for no apparent reason.
  • Phalan Christianity Organization has announced that the people in Phalan are to stay home for 8 days starting from 23rd June and they are not to open the shops because there are COVID-19 positive cases there.

Mon State

  • At about 8:30 pm Sunday, two Balugyung Abit villagers on a motorbike; Ko Moe Zaw Oo and Ko Min Zaw Oo, were shot dead by the group of 20 junta soldiers at the coal factory traffic lights in Mawlamyaing. The curfew hour there is from 10:00 pm to 2:00 am. Their bodies were brought back to their village on Monday evening and were cremated. The whole village attended their funeral service.

Shan State

  • The junta armed forces beat and arrested U Han Min Tun, the owner of Youth Computer Tarchileik training centre, in front of Shwemya Thaya market in Mekaung Ward of Tachileik in the afternoon on Sunday and charged him with Section (505-a) at night.
  • At about 9:00 pm Sunday, the junta armed forces shot at five young people who had been on two motorbikes in Yankin street of Ward (2) in Kyaukme Township. Among them, two young people were hit with bullets. They all were arrested with the charge of breaking Section (144).
  • PDF Shweli Valley was established with local ethnic people from Shweli valley region on the border between Myanmar and China to fight against the military junta and the nationalists as common enemies.
  • There have been discussions between the Russian ambassador and the military junta to reopen No. (2) iron factory (Pinpat) near Taunggyi, which had been suspended in the NLD government. That project was suspended in early 2017 and before that, it had been operating by the military-owned MEC in partnership with VO Tyazhpromexport under the Russian government.

Rakhine State

  • U Nay Oo, Mawdaw District administrator and another staff member were COVID-19 positive. Thus, they are being treated at the quarantine centre. It is still unknown where they have caught it.
  • In Rakhine State, the rate of COVID-19 transmission has been high from illegal border trades. Reportedly, the military junta has instructed to allow only the people who have had vaccines for trade.

Nay Pyi Daw

  • Despite the plan to reopen nursery schools and special schools under the junta Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement on 1st July, an announcement came out that the preparations had to be suspended due to COVID-19 transmissions.
  • After the UN’s decision not to sell weapons to the military junta, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left for Russia on 20th June, to discuss the procurement of weapons. He was accompanied by a group of other high-ranking military officers and a civilian.
  • In the speech at a Vatican prayer even on 20th June, the Pope said that the military junta should respect religious buildings and places.
  • According to AAPP, 872 people have died so far after the military coup. They lost their lives due to fire ammunitions in the crackdowns and torture under investigation.

Summary on 21st June

  • In Yangon, there were no street and guerrilla protests. However, the junta armed forces have been tightening security all over the city with patrols. For unknown reasons, security was very tight especially in Kamayut and Hlaing, and the passers-by were inspected.
  • In Mandalay, the street protests are continuing with great momentum. With the help of informers, the military junta has been conducting arrests constantly in big cities like Moegoke.
  • The junta armed forces have been raiding villages in Sagaing, Minkin and Kani townships every day. They continue to destroy the houses of locals and rob them of valuables.
  • In big cities of other states and regions, there are still rallies comprising hundreds of protesters. At night, armed forces have been firing in towns.
  • To loosen the economic hardships, the military junta has been preparing to resume projects which were suspended in the NLD government. They don’t conduct the crackdowns of public protests with much force. Instead, they have been conducting arrests at night with the help of informers. The UN’s decision not to sell weapons has put pressure on the military and the junta leader himself has to go to countries which may sell weapons.
