The Military Council

  • The junta newspaper said that 444 schools had been destroyed due to explosions and fire by PDFs from 1st February to 15th November 2021.
  • The junta newspaper claimed that local PDF had killed a monk and burnt his body in Myaung Township of Sagaing Region on Friday.
  • Dr. Htay Aung, the junta minister of Hotel and Tourism, said that it was necessary to get started for developing the hotel and tourism sector with negative impacts of the COVID-19 and get current human resources ready for overcoming future challenges.
  • At the meeting of the state government, the junta chief minister U Kat Tain Nam discussed closing the IDP camps in Kachin State.
  • The junta newspaper said that many weapons had been confiscated due to the statement by U Phyo Zayar Thaw, who had been arrested recently.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • In his speech at the UN, Myanmar’s Permanent Representative U Kyaw Moe Tun said that it was very important for the international community to support the efforts of the Myanmar people to build a federal democratic union based on democracy, justice, equality and rule of law, and keep the military under a democratically-elected civilian government.
  • U Aung Myo Min, Minister of Human Rights- NUG, expressed strong condemnation against the case defaming human dignity in which an LGBT in Monywa had been arrested, ill-treated, undressed, shown in public and photographed.
  • Myanmar’s representative office of the NUG to the Czech Republic announced that at the conference themed “Freedom from Fear- Democracy in Myanmar” at the University of Parma in Italy from 15th to 20th November, current affairs of Myanmar, human rights violation of the junta army and resistance of Myanmar people for democracy had been discussed.

Revolution Activities

  • As 287-day protest, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • In Yinmabin Township of Sagaing Region, rural people conducted a protest against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • In a village of Shwebo Township, there was a march against the military dictatorship on Sunday morning.
  • In Indaw Township, a freelance journalist named Daw Yin Yin Thein (Nabar) was arrested by the junta army at about 11:00 pm Thursday. According to her family members, she had been missing without any news since then.
  • According to a member of Thabyenyo guerrilla force, they attacked the junta army stationing in Ngwedwin village of Ayadaw Township on Saturday.
  • In Yinmabin East, a rally of Benwechaung village protested against the military dictatorship on Sunday morning.
  • In Chaung-U Township, junta soldiers shot at two men on a motorbike at about 10:00 am Saturday. According to local residents, the man on the back was hit with a bullet and died.
  • In the south of Longlone Township in Taninthayi Region, a military truck on patrol was attacked with mines by local PDF near Nyinmaw village on Sunday morning. After the incident, there were exchanges of fire between PDF members and the junta armed forces who arrived later. Reportedly, 6 junta soldiers died and 3 others were injured, including a police officer in chief. As for Longlone Township PDF, they lost a member.
  • In the lower rural community of Yebyu Township, there was an indoor strike against the military dictatorship on Sunday afternoon.
  • In Magwe Region, Myaing Township Basic Education General Strike Committee and local people marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Sunday morning.
  • In Yesagyo Township, the junta army shot mortars at Phyonebu village on Saturday afternoon. According to local residents, junta soldiers destroyed belongings from 10 houses.
  • Since Saturday, the junta armed forces have been blocking off entrance roads to Dala, Tontay, Kawhmu and Kunchangone Townships. According to some members of the junta administration, they have been combing the areas as PDFs have been there.
  • In Hlaingthaya Township, a MyTel telecom tower was blown up near Thaunggyi monastery.
  • At about 10:30 pm Saturday, there were simultaneous explosions at Painkan village police station and electricity office in Kayan Township.
  • In Mandalay, a combined rally marched for the end of the military dictatorship and boycott against military products on Sunday morning.
  • Reportedly, the junta army confiscated guns and bullets from Shwe Yaw Man express which had been running from Mandalay to Kanpetlet of Chin State.
  • On Sunday, Mandalay Monks’ Union conducted an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • Pyinmana Revolutionary Army (PRA) announced that there was a mine explosion at a train carrying rations for the junta army.
  • In Mawlamyeingyun of Ayeyarwaddy Region, Ko Magyit, allegedly junta informer in Yephyukan village, was shot dead at about 8:00 pm Saturday.
  • In Pha-Kant of Kachin State, there was an event in support of KIA, PDF and NUG on Saturday. There was also a public protest against the military dictatorship.
  • In the west of Bago Region, there was a remote bomb attack at Gyobinkaut police camp. Reportedly, 2 monk pedestrians were injured.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Phaungsai area of Monekoe District, the junta army regiment (77) has been conducting invasive attacks at MNDAA camps in Kyikya mountain range and Manyan area, starting from Saturday evening. According to the Kokang media, one of the mortars by the junta army to Manyan camp fell into a village and exploded. Reportedly, a local woman was hit and died.

Summary on 22nd November

  • The military junta have been conducting arrests. Ma Yin Yin Thein (Nabar), a freelance journalist in Indaw Township of Sagaing Region, was arrested. The previous day, Rakhine-based media agencies were raided. Judging from it, the military junta have been carrying out more oppression on the media.
  • As for Sagaing Region, they had guerrilla attacks as well as public protests. In Magwe, Ayeyarwaddy, Bago, Yangon, Mandalay and Dawei, there were a few protests against the military dictatorship. In Yangon, a large number of the junta armed forces blocked off roads for inspection at towns and villages where PDFs might come through or hide out.
