The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • In the 4 th meeting of the Union Parliament, Minister of Planning, Finance and Investment-NUG it was said that they had earned 33 million USD from the sale of bonds and they had
  • made arrangements to continue the sale until 200 million USD.
  • Union Minister of Planning, Finance and Investment-NUG said that they would confiscate the house of the junta leader on Inlya Road (formerly a military residential house) and sell it
  • for a reasonable price.
  • The Ministry of Women, Youth and Children-NUG stated that women accounted for 9.3% of all of those who lost lives in the revolution from the military coup up to 11 April 2022.
  • Revolution Activities
  • In Shan South, the junta army shot dead 6 people in Peyintaung Village, accusing them of being PDF members.
  • In Ayadaw Township of Sagaing Region, there was a fighting between the junta army and local PDF near Kyunghla Village on Wednesday.
  • In a village of Shwebo Township, local people marched for the NUG and against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • In Monywa Township, a military truck was attacked with mines by an alliance of PDFs at 7:20 am Friday. Reportedly, no less than 10 junta soldiers died.
  • As a 408-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • In Sagaing Township, the junta army raided Nyaungbinshay Village on Friday morning, firing mortars. They then set fire to public’s houses. Reportedly, a villager was hit with mortar and
  • some others were arrested in the village. 
  • According to Unity Force Monywa, two of their members were arrested by the junta armed forces and killed during interrogation on Thursday.
  • In Myaung Township with powerful revolution, 22 schools have been opened and over 3500 students have been attending there.
  • In Kyaukse of Mandalay Region, local PDF conducted a grenade attack on 3 junta soldiers in charge of security at the house of former Senior General Than Shwe in Sugone Ward at
  • 11:30 am Friday.
  • According to NLD sources, U Ko Ko Lay, Vice-Chair of Mandalay District NLD aged 55, died of a brain hemorrhage as he heard the news of his wife being killed by the military junta during
  • interrogation.
  • In Yangon, students marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Friday. 
  • In Hpakant Township of Kachin State, local people marched against the military dictatorship on Friday. They also showed their support for the KIA, PDF and NUG.
  • In Kamayut Township of Yangon Region, the junta armed forces arrested 8 young people on Hledan Road on Thursday night.
  • On Thursday, the Teachers' Association - Dagon University announced that it would be re-establish itself with CDM teachers.
  • In South Okkalapa Township, a large number of the junta armed forces arrested a retired military officer named Aung Myin Thu at his house in Ward (7) at 9:15 pm Thursday.
  • In Ngapudaw Township of Ayeyarwaddy Region, U Zaw Tun, administer of Ngabyema Village, was killed. After the incident, 15 local people, including 3 children under 18, were arrested
  • by the junta armed forces. 

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Kanpetlet of Chin State, a contingent of over 60 junta soldiers from Saw and another 80 locally-based junta soldiers attacked the CDF from both sides on Thursday.
  • In Tandabin Township of Bago Region, a combined force of KNLA and PDF attacked the junta army camp in Tapyay Village at about 2:30 am Friday. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died.
  • In Myawaddy Township of Karen State, the junta army conducted an invasive attack on the KNLA and PDF in Laykaykaw on Thursday night. Reportedly, a junta soldier died. As for the
  • combined force, two members were slightly injured.
  • In Myitkyina Township of Kachin State, there was a heavy fighting between the KIA + PDF and the junta army stationed in Naungnan Village Group at 7:45 pm Thursday.
  • According to local people and PDFs, the junta armed forces conducted a heavy invasion into Laykaykaw of Myawaddy Township in Karen State on Friday night, firing mortars constantly.

The Military Council

  • In Thingyan or Myanmar New Year, Soe Tint Naing, the junta deputy minister of home affairs, ordered staff members to welcome the second junta leader Soe Win with folded hands on his visit to their pandal. At that time, there was shouting and arguments among the staff. Consequently, disciplinary action has been taken against them.
  • Through the junta media, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing stated that he would like to meet with all ethnic armed organizations in person.
  • U Ko Ko Hlaing, the junta Union Minister, said that Myanmar hoped for patience, understanding and strong support of ASEAN with regard to their 5-point consensus.
  • The junta Ministry of Education announced that all courses of universities and colleges would be reopened on 12 May.
  • At the halls of the Union Minister Office, the junta ministers U Mg Mg Ohn and U Aung Naing Oo met with journalists from media outlets such as AP, Reuters, South China Morning Post,
  • Straits Times, China Central Television (CCTV), People’s Daily and Xinhua via video conferencing on Friday morning and answered their queries.
  • The junta Minister of Information said that the election would be held in 2023 and they had been working for the stability of the country.
  • In the days to come, No. (2) Nay Pyi Taw Municipal Guest Housing would be reopened.
  • Reportedly, bomb protective measures had been installed at the state government office and some other departments in Taunggyi, Shan State.
  • The junta Minister of Information said that they were being able to deal with stability issues well in the country.
  • According to staff community in Nay Pyi Taw, the military junta instructed ministries that civilian graduates and staff members were to apply for No. (126) the junta training school in
  • Bahtoo. However, no one did so.

  • The junta leader aired that he would like to meet with all EAOs in person. Due to extensive battlefields all over the country, he would butter them up with incentives. In case of his
  • victory, he would just do what he wants with nationalism and extreme religious views. As for EAOs, they might notice the trick of the junta leaders as they had experienced such things
  • for ages.
  • The junta armed forces seemed to be badly in need of new members. Although they reduced qualific ations for recruitment at the junta institutions, almost no one joined terrorist organizations like them.
  • With heavy battles, the revolution was in great momentum throughout the country. Reportedly, the junta armed forces had a great loss.
