The Military Council

  • The military junta warned hotel and tourism business owners that it was breaking the law when providing services at their hotels and guest-houses with TV channels for which broadcasting had been revoked.
  • The 4th World Media Summit was held via video conferencing on Monday. Reportedly, a Myanmar delegation led by U Ye Naing, director general of MRTV under the junta Ministration of Information, joined it.
  • According to the junta communication team, there would be a discussion with the Thai Labor Department for sending an MoU on labourers soon.
  • On Monday, the junta Directorate of Investment and Company Administration instructed companies and organizations to carry out their financial activities with exclusive bank accounts under the names of their companies and organizations.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • According to the NUG, their special bonds had been sold for 6.3 million USD until Monday midnight.
  • At the government meeting, the Acting President of the NUG said that it was necessary to bear in mind- ‘As the NUG get stronger with their steps, the military junta will be more violent.
  • The Acting President of the NUG said that the military junta had been approaching some organizations to leave the NUCC and they might set traps to divide the strong unity of NLD and EAOs out of jealousy. Therefore, he called for collective efforts to lead and advocate the public with revolution spirit.
  • Union Prime Minister said that a landmark of the revolution was the sale of the NUG bonds the previous day in which the bonds had been sold for up to 2 million USD within 2 hours. He also expressed thanks to the public for their enthusiasm for the revolution.
  • Union Prime Minister said that the public was in trouble and thus, it was necessary for the NUG to focus on every activity which would be a hard blow for the military junta.
  • The NUG announced that a more simplified version of the online payment system would be adopted.

Revolution Activities

  • After a lot of purchases for the NUG bonds in Singapore on Monday evening, online banking services of POSB and DBS, Singapore-based banks, got stuck.
  • In Kalay Township of Sagaing Region, local PDF ambushed a troop of 25 junta soldiers on foot near Hmandaw village on Tuesday morning. Reportedly, 5 junta soldiers died in the incident. According to CDF KKG, they attacked the remaining ones again, killing 2 more soldiers and leaving some others injured.
  • According to PDFs, the public warmly welcomed members of PDF Kalay with Eugenia, who had conducted an ambush against the junta armed forces in the south of Kalay on Tuesday morning.
  • In Chaung-U Township, a military convoy was attacked with mines by an alliance of four local PDFs on Chaung-U-Sinphyushin road. Reportedly, no less than a junta soldier died and a military truck was damaged.
  • As a 289-day protest, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship on Tuesday. They also saluted two members of Kalay PDF who had sacrificed their lives in the battle the previous day.
  • In Monywa, the junta armed forces raided 5 villages and set fire to two camps of MPDF and their alliance. In Ayadaw Township, the junta army destroyed public’s houses and took away money and other things.
  • In Myaung Township, a military convoy was attacked with mines by local PDF on Tuesday. Reportedly, 10 junta soldiers died.
  • In Monywa, NPRF conducted a grenade attack at No. (2) police station at about 5:00 am Tuesday. Reportedly, there were casualties among members of the junta armed forces.
  • On Tuesday, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched for the end of the military dictatorship.
  • In a village of Shwebo Township, there was a march against the military dictatorship on Tuesday.
  • At about 5:00 pm Monday, a convoy of junta-appointed regional chief minister Myat Kyaw was attacked with 10 mines by PAFD.
  • According to PDF Kalay, two of their members; Ko Min Zaw Aung aged 19 and Ko Zaw Naing Htay aged 34, lost lives in the fighting against the junta army and Pyusawti groups in Kyaukpyote village on Sunday.
  • In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, Eagles guerrilla force demolished MyTel telecom tower in Ngatamyaw village on Monday.
  • On Tuesday evening, there was a battle between a combined force of CDF+YDF and the junta army invading the villages on Magwe-Chin border. Reportedly, junta soldiers were setting fire to houses in the nearby village.
  • In Pha-Kant of Kachin State, local residents marched for KIA, PDF and the NUG. They also protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Sanchaung Township of Yangon Region, there was a bomb explosion at about 9:00 am Tuesday. According to local residents, unexploded bombs were found as well.
  • In Thanlyin-Kyaukdan Township, local PDF made a remote explosion at Taman-U camp of the junta army at about 8:30 am Tuesday. They announced that they had done so as the junta armed forces there conducted oppression on the public and that they would take more action.
  • At about 9:00 pm Monday, HRDF carried out explosions with 6 remote bombs at the junta armed forces stationing in the army-owned garment factory, near the bus stop in front of Shwelinban and Myaseinyaung Housing in Hlaingthaya Township.
  • In Bahan Township, Yangon International Students’ Union and youth conducted an anti-junta movement on Tuesday.
  • At about 11:30 am Tuesday, two bombs exploded in front of the Hmawbi Township electricity office. Reportedly, 5 people, including the staff, were injured. Those bombs had been in a bag hung at a motorbike in front of the office.
  • At about 7:50 pm Monday, an alliance of Bago PDF and BGF carried out explosion attacks at junta soldiers and junta informers on Ponnasu (14) street. Reportedly, the casualties were still unknown.
  • In Taninthayi Township, local PDF blew up Taku police camp with mines and set it on fire.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In the area under the control of KNU Regiment (5) in Kayin State, KNU took control of Mewine camp of the junta army.
  • On Monday, KIA Regiment (1) issued a warning not to open casinos and sell drugs in Bamaw District of Kachin State.

Summary on 24 November

  • The NUG sold special bonds worth millions of USD within hours until online banking services of Singapore banks got stuck. Judging from it, the public has resolved to uproot the military dictatorship.
  • As the revolution has been long and the public has been in trouble, the NUG has been planning for every sector which will hurt the military junta. There will probably be impacts on warfare and economic activities.
  • As for Sagaing and Magwe, they had heavy battles. Reportedly, the junta armed forces ill-treated civilians and set fire to villages in those areas. In Kayin, Kayah and Shan North, there were battles as well.
  • In Yangon, the guerrilla revolution gained great momentum and the same was true for Taninthayi, Mandalay and Bago together with public protests.
