The Military Council

  • According to the junta newspaper, cotton mills in suspension have been getting ready for their activities in a timely manner during upcoming cotton season and cotton will be purchased through tender in that season.
  • At the meeting of security, peace, stability and law enforcement committee under the military junta, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that activities were being carried out in accordance with the laws to keep going on the path of multi-party democracy.
  • In Loikaw of Kayah State, the junta army raided Christ King Central Church and Compassion Clinic in Naungyar Ward. After that, the military junta announced that legal action would be taken against 4 doctors and 14 nurses who had been providing medical services free of charge.
  • According to the junta media, Myanmar, a member state of the Coordinating Committee for Geoscience Programmes in East and Southeast Asia (CCOP), joined the meetings.
  • According to the junta newspaper, weapons to be sold to PDFs in Mandalay, Magwe and Sagaing, stored in Manmai Monekun village of Namsam Township in Shan North, were confiscated due to a report by some dutiful citizens.
  • The junta newspaper said that members of Myitnge PDF, who had assassinated junta informers in Myitnge and Amapura townships, were arrested.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • According to the Ministry of Defence-NUG, a soldier and two police members made contact on Wednesday to join the public as they could no longer accept the military dictatorship.
  • At the meeting of the NUG, Union Prime Minister said that strategies in defence and economic sectors were important to support the political strategy and that strategies in progress by ministers and deputy-ministers need to be interconnected.
  • At the UN General Assembly, Myanmar Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun said that the junta army had been attacking and killing Myanmar people intentionally. He also called on the international community to support the public.

Revolution Activities

  • In Bodataung Township of Yangon Region, the military junta did not allow the taking of photos or carrying out of the funeral of Mg Bone Myint Aung aged 19. His body was taken to Yeway Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon by armed soldiers.
  • In North Dagon Myothit Township, U Myint Kyi, administrator of Ward (29), was shot by an unknown group on Wednesday morning.
  • Amidst tight security measures of the junta armed forces all across Kalay in Sagaing Region, local people marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday as a 290-day protest.
  • On Wednesday morning, a military convoy from Monywa to Sagaing was attacked with mines twice by an alliance of 5 forces, led by Black Eagle Defence Force – MMU. Reportedly, 4 military trucks were damaged and many junta soldiers may have died.
  • As a 259-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday, holding signs - ‘The public taking back their power’.
  • In Myinmu Township, a combined force of local PDFs blew up a MyTel telecom tower, owned by the military junta, in Kwetkwin village on Tuesday.
  • In a village of Shwebo Township, there was a march against the military dictatorship on Wednesday morning.
  • On Wednesday afternoon, a local PDF named Ghost Team Ranger Myinmu (GTR MMU) called on users of Monywa-Mandalay road not to travel anymore.
  • In Khin-U Township, junta informers, Pyusawti members and junta-appointed administers have been being killed. Reportedly, up to 62 of them have lost their lives.
  • On Wednesday, the Mandalay Monks’ Union led an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • According to GZP (Mandalay), they carried out a grenade attack on a military vehicle near Moekaung night market, killing 2 junta soldiers and leaving 3 others seriously injured.
  • In Maha Aungmye Township, there was a grenade attack on a military truck at green grocers’ market on 41 street at 7:18 am Wednesday. According to local residents, two women were injured due to the wild gunfire of junta soldiers.
  • At 8:30 am Wednesday, a convoy of 6 motorbikes with junta soldiers heading to Gantgaw was attacked by Yaw Defence Force. Reportedly, about 10 junta soldiers died and many others were injured.
  • In Myaing Township of Magwe Region, a military convoy for security of 5 oil trucks was attacked with mines at about 9:00 am Wednesday. According to Myaing PDF, at least 3 junta soldiers died and many others were injured.
  • In Pha-Kant of Kachin State, local people showed their support for KIA, PDF and the NUG on Wednesday. They also protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Thayetchaung Township of Taninthayi Region, a MyTel telecom tower was blown up with mines in Zawphya village on Tuesday night.
  • In their report, Kayin Human Rights Group stated that after the military coup in Myanmar, the condition of human rights was getting worse and the military junta had been conducting violence against civilians on purpose.
  • In Pathein of Ayeyarwaddy Region, there was an explosion in the army area of Southwest Regional Military Headquarters.
  • In Laputta Township, a run-away policeman named Kyaw Ko Ko collected money from townspeople, telling lies that he was a CDM police member. After that, he went to Hlaingthaya police station to present himself and made a statement about the revolutionists.

Summary on 24th November

  • In the tenure of the military junta, citizens are losing the right to medical healthcare, one of their basic rights. The junta armed forces have arrested patients and medical personnel, conducting human rights violations openly. What is more, they have been arresting and killing the public on a daily basis.
  • As for Sagaing and Magwe, these areas saw public protests and guerrilla revolution. In Mandalay and Yangon, there were such a few such activities.
